  1. This is my dilemma.  I've done all of that.  We've even had girls sign in the past.  Heck I have a few coaches personal cell but nothing is happening for these girls.  Maybe I need to be more patient.  they are 2017 though, the sign in a few months usually.  Thanks for the advice.  I'm going to resend their info now.

Good deal...and good luck. It is important to stress how important their grades are. Take the act as many times as possible. Do these girls have good stats? A coach will tend to sign a girl with the best grades if abilities are equal. Also realize a full athletic softball scholarship is very rare.

  2. I know of a couple girls in Nashville, TN that have skill to help a college team. What do they need besides a skill video?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Most schools...especially smaller ones have a place on their website to send them info on a player. Playing travel ball is very important also. College coaches don't have time to see high school players in season. Also...send an email or letter to the coach saying you are interested in their school.

  3. Such hostility. Both of you need to look in the mirror and come back. Best of luck to both teams in the sectional.

Certainly no hostility from me...don't know what you are talking about. I expect both to be in the glass house. I think Middleton will also. One or both will likely meet up with them.

  4. I actually see both 1-2 seeds winning and advancing, Sequatchie and Signal are as equal as you can be. Don't know if either can compete with Livingston or Upperman or not but can see them getting to Cookeville.

    Neither game will be close

  5. I am not taking anything away from Smith. Awesome year and very happy for the kids and the program. Last year I knew this was going to be the team to beat. The work they put into this was superior. To be on top of this District is a great accomplishment. This district has to be near the top in the state.

All I am saying is Central has never been relevant! Never finished out of the gutter! Only 1 district win in its history coming last year (Worsleys first yr). This year they finished 6th with no athletic ability and limited basketball IQ. I and everyone else had this team finishing 0-14. They had some bad losses to teams that shot the lights out. They also took Smith to the wire at home. Lost to Livingston by 1 pt at home and really should have swept York last night. They lost the 3rd quarter 25-4. The rest of the game Central handled or played even. No go to shooters/athletes!

And I'm not taking anything away from Magnet. They are much improved. By your logic...Sanders should have been COY last year also. They made the regional after being at the bottom the previous year. Finishing 6th does not warrant COY...even though he has done a great job. Going from 5-9 to 11-3 & a co-championship does. JMO of course.
  6. coy is worsley no doubt. Zero athletic talent and 6 district wins 16 total wins. this is the same magnet school we all picked dead last and zero wins.

Its easy to win with athletes.

No way. Sanders is hands down the coach of the year. He took an SC team that hasn't been relevant in over 25 years to a tie for regular season championship. He was a jr. high coach a couple of years ago. He has developed the talent SC has. Absolutely nobody thought SC was a contender this year. SC has not won a regular season title since 90-91. They were lucky to win 5 games a year...much less go 11-3 in the district.

  7. We were 31 of 68 for 46%. This was AT Rhea County. I figured if we broke a record like this it would be on our home court. Haha

I figured they took almost all 3 point attempts. Still...a great accomplishment. I would bet that was the game plan. The way they can shoot...they will never be out of a game. I said that earlier in the year.

  8. Very good game. Back and forth the whole night. 8AA is going to be tough to win this year. Several good teams that could potentially win it.

It looks like anyone can beat anyone else on a given night. The regular season winner could have a few losses. The tournament will be wide open.
  9. I was actually surprised to see JC beat Upperman at their place earlier this year. I think that was the point that UCSportsFan was trying to make; that coaching and experience is why JC won. Upperman has obviously improved since early in the year.

Both have very good teams as usual. Both certainly have a chance to make a run.
