What about Brentwood Academy... no congrates for them?

I did not say that we do get to opt out of paying for public schools... I said that we still pay for public schools but lose our voice in the TSSAA. To use your analogy, I might not use the particular road that I pay taxes on, but I should have a say if it comes through my house. This is just a dream anyway because the private schools will never throw together due to the logistics of having a private school association in Tennessee. However, the more and more that the TSSAA make rules like the 1.8, and rules about financial aid for athletes, the more they are motivating the private schools to make a move. Look at the private schools that left D1 for DII this year. Private school enrollments continue to increase with waiting lists for kids to get in. There are new private schools being built while public school enrollment has decreased and public funding per kid has increased.

What I would like to see is all private schools say "Make 7 up-yours" to the public schools and the TSSAA and just have their own athletic association by themselves. I see public school authorities and advocates making rules and criteria for private schools that public do not have to adhere to under the guise of making it fair. If you have to make rules beyond the rules of the game to make the game fair, it never will be fair, so you best part ways. If a private school wants to give a full scholarship for athletics, debate, chess, cheerleading, academics.... whatever... it is their revenue to do with what they want. For the parents that choose to send their child to a private school, they do not opt out of paying for public schools, but they do lose their voice to speak to the issues in public schools. Kind of like that tea party that happened some time ago. A public education is free, why is it a big deal for making an education free to a kid because you want him/her in your private school because they have a talent for something. It helps the private school to draw up more business with more students.

As cold as you might think this reply may be.... if you (or the player you are posting for) are a player that is exceptional enough, it is not an issue. As I have told many players I have coached, no "program" in interested in good players. They are only interested in players that are exceptional.

Well no, I did not click on it. It was in the white space above the message boards where you have ads flash up. It was two lines. I cannot remember exactly what was said. I tried to copy it and paste it on my message. It said something about looking for sex as the link, and then something like "horny people looking to have sex." was the ad. I knew it was not something you would want on this site. I also understand that it is incredibly hard to keep these perverts off of a decent site.

I could not believe my eyes to see a sex ad on Coacht at the main page for all threads. It was my understanding that this would not be allowed. Was this just a mistake?

There was a little kidding around on the girl's basketball thread about public and private. It was not close to being a debate, more of jokes about the subject. Well it was taken off the girls thread so I thought it might had moved here. To my surprise, it was not here and there is hardly anything on the Public/Private debate threads. I suppose every key stroke that could have been made, has been made. I guess the debate is over. By the way... did something happen that I missed. Other than some D1 private kids actually increasing in talent by something like 180%, I did not see a change at all. Okay... I'm going back to sleep... this is too boring. It used to be fun.

Okay... I'll go with GPS if you want. Still, whomever wins the BA vs KW game on the right side will beat whomever is on the left side. Again... IMO And I just learned yesterday that I have to pull for KW all the way now due to a player on KW will be on the AAU team we will be with. I hate that when that happens!

The DII State Cahmpionship game will be between BA and Knox Webb on the right side of the bracket. Whomever wins this game will beat Briarcrest in the championship game. Briarcrest is very good and AE is a dominator, but they are not as good as either BA of KW. IMO

Hey, I'm having fun! In my OPINION, they are the team to beat in the TOURNAMENT. WC just got them, but it was an un-focused night. Won't happen again. Kimberly is the play-a!

Briarcreat has another great team. They will have no problem getting into the championship game..... again! However, I think that the State Championship game will be the Brentwood Academy vs Knoxville Webb on the right side of the bracket. Whoever wins this game will beat Briarcrest and get the gold ball. I think that this year it will be BA!

Do you, or anyone else, have an update on the knee? And if she will be strong enough for the Lady Vols after sitting so long? They sure will need another point guard next year.
