1. Right more than wrong??? You guys got blanked! Not a single point! Not taking anything away from Westside b/c they were a good team but lets look at the facts here. I have no problem when someone supports their team but they were some strong statements made before the game. I am sure the team really appreciates all of that now. Best of luck to Westside the rest of the year.

  2. I dont think RamsRule is going to be heard from...that's too bad. I would be very interested to hear his thoughts on the game! That is going to be a long 6hr drive home. BA continues to wear teams down in the second half. Great job from both teams.

Did anyone else notice that Westside ran out onto the field screaming during the prayer and National Anthem? Who gave those guys the signal it was time to run out??

  3. I know not all Liberty posters write on here or share the same views. I have not seen them play but it sounds like they are a strong team. Also sounds like a lot of fan support. Understand that not matter your age or intensity for Liberty, it would reflect a much better light on your team and self, for certain posters on here to act with some class and intelligence. Take it for what its worth or just respond with more comments.

  4. Spoken like someone who has and will continue to make excuses for anything in life that doesn't go their way! I guess the Supreme Court who found BA not guilty was biased too. You should have been a key witness if you hold so much valid info. Winning programs always attract these type of people. I know that these comments do not hold true for all WC fans. Great game played by young men.

  11. Ok, I thought the question was who has the best chance of knocking of BA and i answered that with ECS. Now if you paid any attention in the Boliver BA game you would have seen Chism didn't play a whole half. And then just recently in the BA Mitchell game Thad didn't gaurd Wright the entire game. Ecs has got two big kids that love to bang. You put both of them on Wright and bang the entire game it will wear him down. I just think that Ecs has the best chance. No i don't coach at Briarcrest but i did play for Harrington, I coach at Bartlett. Look at last years state championship if you saw it. BCHS played BA in the finals and Michael Ohr banged with Wright the entire game and yes Wright had a good game and won their third state title but was clearly worn out by the end of the game. Now you rotate two big guys in the game to bang with Wright and not only do you wear out Wright but you also keep your two big guys fresh.

That was the question and you did answer it. You said something interesting. You are making an asumption. That Wright will get worn down, by two players who are not on the same level, without fouling out, while no one else on BA scores, and B Wright still can't seem to score on them. You also mentioned rotating them. You are assuming these "big men" can contain Wright alone all while ECS contains the rest of a solid BA team. It is so simple to say coach and a little harder to do. If you are at Bartlett them I am sure you know this and remember playing BA.

  12. I just answered the question. I'm not taking anything away from BA. Yea they are the team in TN. I just was answering who had the best chance in private schools to beat them out of memphis and i think it is ECS. Now do i think they will beat them probably not but they have the best shot in my opinion. To tell you the truth after seeing brentwood play twice this year and playing them last year. I think any team will have problems gaurding Bone more than they will gaurding Wright. ECS has a big wide body down low that is going to bang with him a lot more than he's seen this year in my opinion, this guy doesn't give a crap. They are scrappy players that have the best chance in beating BA>

    [/quo

So Chism and Young aren't big and don't bang? Wright has played just fine against bigger players. So "this guy doesn't give a crap"? Great he can foul out in 5min then. This is basketball not a street fight. Do you coach at Briarcrest?

  13. I like this one because we've played all the teams talked about here beside Elliston. Looking at the teams here in Memphis my answer would be ECS. Christian Brothers beat ECS about a week or two ago by two points. When you look at ECS though they have good players and they are well coached. It helped them a bunch that they finally go to add their 6'7 transfer from BTW. He has turned this team around a lot. Their gaurd play is pretty good as well. They have guys that take care of the ball and don't try to do to much. I know Brentwood has both Wright brothers and bone but if you ask me I don't think their other gaurds are that great. Ecs could beat them if they played well. The BTW center is very good and then you add another big guy in their sophmore center, it would make for a tough gaurd for Brentwood. As for Harding count them out. They only have one player. Price had 35 of the teams 38 points once this season and won't be able to carry them very far. Briarcrest is playing well of late but is still very young playing 2 or 3 freshman. Coming out of memphis i see CBHS and ECS making it to state with ECS the best chance to beat Brentwood.

BA has matched up with the best teams in the country but ECS will give them problems???? So Chism, T Young, G Henderson, and W Ellington matched up just perfect for BA??? Also by playing 3 frosh against a 3time state champ won't rattle ECS? Might not be as interesting as you think.

  14. What Private School in the State has the closest shot at knockin off Brentwood Academy in the state invitational? My favorite is Elliston Baptist Academy...even tho they havent had a very hard schedule like Brrentwood has, I still think they have the intanglebles to beat them

If by intangibles you mean the Russian from Rocky, Kobe Bryant, and Dr. Evil then yes, they might get within 20....otherwise I would check whatever is in the water around your way.

  15. Still amazes me how no small [ 1A ] teams get any credit!!! In the mid state you have Culleoka 24-2 and Friendship Christian 25-3 but I guess this is just a " big boy " poll. Oh isn't BA a D2 school ? Nothing like having high profile players!! ;)

I'm confused? Should teams with no college bound players, a weak schedule, and no chance of ever beating any of these teams be on here so single A feels represented. Yes BA is D2 but you might want to check out their schedule.

  16. I am caught off guard as to why so many people are acting as if BA has posted on here like "the game is in the bag"??

1)No one from BA is overlooking a great team

2)I would debate that Bolivar has played a tougher schedule

3)I am glad this player is ranked wherever but I'll still take Wright and Bone

4)Bizzie-Pitts has over 800wins in ALL classes/not just "DII"

5)BA still beat them at full strenght the first time

  17. I also would guess it is Pitt's ole boy network with refs that has earned him over 800 wins. Maybe he and Pat Summit are in it together??? Dean Smith??? What has jrm2x uncovered. B Wright really is awful but strings have been pulled. How deep does this thing run??? What has Shelbyville done to anger this conglomerate of string pulling, ref paying, schlorship for no reason offering, Stewart bashers?

  18. What are you a former spelling bee champion? Moot or mute whatever you got my point. The fact is ALL of the schools after Stewart are at SI level and comeon dont mistake SI for a power they are mid level D1.

No, just more intelligent. I am not mistaking anyone for a "power" but you still have not told me where the player in question has signed or even been actually offered. Say what you like but come season end we know where Wright and Bone will be playing and it is impressive. Once again nothing against the other players but support your argument with some facts.

  19. The confusion over the meaning of moot point is modern. It is a misunderstanding of another sense of moot for a discussion forum in which hypothetical cases are argued by law students for practice. Since there is no practical outcome of these sessions, and the cases are invented anyway, people seem to have assumed that a moot point means one of no importance. So we’ve seen a curious shift in which the sense of “open to debate” has become “not worth debating”.

The mute spelling is a development that has come about because moot is now a fossil word, usually encountered only in this phrase; there is an understandable tendency to convert the unknown into the known, and mute seems to fit the new meaning rather better. But it’s wrong.

And the point is relevant if Stewart is not signing with a university on the same level as a Southern Illinois. Recieving letters and signing are different. Stewart is a fine player and this is no slam on him.

  20. Shelbyville beat Brentwood Academy, in the first game of the season , and Shelbyville has only lost too 2 teams out of state teams....... B) Im going with Shelbyville as the best....

That loss was BA's first game while Shelbyville had already played four but no excuse. BA at this point has a better record and has played a much more difficult schedule. While you are entitled to your opinions, USA Today and all other national rankings disagree. :thumb:
