I am wondering if anyone thinks that Cloudland will make it to state. I am hoping they do but how they have been shooting lately I have serious doubt. If they do not play better basketball it will be really hard. Will the tournments get them going? Any thoughts? My thoughts and prayers go to Cloudland's Charles Markland who has had a massive heart attack. The last time I heard he was in Intensive Care and no one could visit him. The were doubts that he would make it though this tough time. Please post updates on here. Charles was very helpful to Cloudland's football program. Congratulations are in store for the Cloudland Lady Landers for clinching the Conference Championship. These girls make Roan Mountain proud even though sometimes they probably wonder. Good luck in the tournaments and in the future. Once again congratulations

I agree totally with lillander. I thought that people would be excited about this game. The first thread about the first game was interesting to say the least. Where is the rivalary and the emotion? This game is very important and will decide who wins the conference. Please get out to the game and show your support if nothing else. Thanks to the ones who actually share their opinions and their views on the game.

I think that Cloudland will win by around 10, give or take a few, if the Unaka that showed up in Roan Mountain shows up again at Unaka. Cloudland is good and keeps getting better. I think that this game will be alittle closer because Unaka now knows they need to stop Stachia Johnson and Tara Hanson not just Tara. It will be an intersting game no matter what. To any Cloudland Highlander fan or anyone who might know: Who do we play on Feb. 7 (Fri.) at home. Is it Gatlinburg Pittman or North Greene? The schedule on coacht.com says that we play these two teams.

Cloudland is really good but they just had a really bad game. Most of the team was sick and the center had to leave due to sickness. Plus Stachia getting hurt did not help Cloudland out at all. It is easy to shoot around 20% when you are sick and one of your key players is out. They will be out for blood now!!!

Good Luck to the Mighty Lady Landers of Cloudland. Can't wait to go to the 'boro.

The Landers play was excellent but they did have a few small problems. Nikki Webb had #11's number all night. How many steals did Nikki end up with? Stachia stepped it up big time in the second half. Tara did not have a very good game untill she got a few good shots in the second half. The whole Landers team played extremly well it is hard to tell who contributed the most. They were all on a equal level. I very impressed with both teams. Unaka has nothing to hang their heads about. I thought the intensity was right where it needed to be. Cloudland fans have alot to look forward with the team in the future. There was two absents on the bench. Tiffany Watts, who has sprung her ankle, but why was Ashley Norman not on the bench? Not for sure the score but the girls won by 14 and the boys won 72-68.

Cloudland's first loss was a scrimmage against one of the Sullivans. It was preseason. They do count their other lost against David Crockett which was in regular season.

Way to go Lady Landers!!! You played an excellent game against Unaka and the refs. Pujo said all I have to say. So read his message again to see what i have to say. To greenfrog11: Why were you not dressed out?

I asked this early but no one answered so I will ask it again. Will they play the game tomorrow if school is out or reschedule it. Also will this snow affect practice schedules or anything like that. Highlander24 you seem alittle cocky now don't you. Calm down, just because you saw one game don't make quick judgements like you seem to have. This will be a good game and can't wait to see the game. I don't think the Lander girls think they have it won. I want to know where you saw that. Tara is an awesonme basketball player and an excellent person as a whole. The game will be interesting and may the best team win on Friday night or whenever they play it

I know that Cloudland's girls played the boys in preseason for fun and the boys got beat pretty bad. But the boys did not have the Football players so it really was just fun for the players

I think everyone needs to take their excitment to the games not the message boards. Let's support the teams because they really need it. I was at the Cloudland-Johnson County game and there was alot of support but not enough. Cloudland plays Unaka in 1 week and 2 days. Let's all try to pack the gym and support the kids. Cloudland's girls won the Watauga Classic in Boone by beating Watauga, NC 63-52. Hope that this is useful for your rankings since Watauga is a excellent 4a school in NC.

The Cloudland girls are alot better then they were last year. They are missing Hughes but Tara Hanson and Stachia Johnson make up for it. They have the dedication it takes to be state champs but I am not for sure they can beat the teams from the middle of the state like the rest of East Tn. and i guess you know who I am talkng about. I believe this is their best chance. The game with Unaka will be a good challenge for the lady lander.
