I don't think anyone on here actually thinks Temple can win. I just don't think TC can shut them out. As far as all this other crap. It won't be the end of the world no matter who wins or loses after all it's just a game.

If Whitwell can stay even the first half, I think they have a good chance to win this one.

I guess one would have to say that DCA is the man. They got booted out so we have to pick a man to be the best of what's left. I don't see how TC or any other team can claim to be the best right now. It will take 5 more games to decide this. TC did not leave 1A as the champ. The last public to win the state was SP. TC would certainly have be cosidered as one of the top contenders but not the only one. Only time will tell.

I don't think they can come close to matching TC but I do think they will score a couple of times on them.

Sure it does, probably every public school in 1A was pushing for it. But like I said if there are schools out there with the same enrollment that have to play in a higher class then it takes something away from the playoffs. I don't think there is a solution that everyone would be happy with. To much greed in the world, too many people that want to toot their horn louder than the rest.

I don't agree with the multiplier rule I think it should be privates against privates and publics against publics. But, as Murphy Fair said soon they will be complaining about the remaining privates in 1A because they will start getting better fast and if a complete separation takes place the state games won't mean much anymore. As for Satterfield being the main advocate for the multiplier, he was not the only one. South Pittsburg's Grider was the other main player. Trousdale to avoid CPA, Ezell and Dca and South Pitt to avoid Boyd.

If Temple had a defence they would be a threat to any team. Their QB is fast and elusive. I don't think SP ever sacked him. They also have at least two that can catch and run. They just can't stop their oponents from scoring. I think TC will be too skilled for the game to be close but I think Temple will score on TC's first string a time or two.

Friendship Christian has never beat South Pittsburg. Friendship is going to have a hard time containing SP whole team. SP plays all four quarters as Friendship well knows.

They are pulling for TC because TC beat them so bad. The better they make TC look the bigger excuse they can give for losing by so much.

I don't think they are a joke. They just don't realize what's out there and how good other teams they never see really are. All 1A teams have their ups and downs due to limited players to choose from but Hampton and Cloudland are too busy worrying about high scores on the small schools in their area instead of the big picture. Sure Cloudland had a pretty fair team a few years back and beat South Pittsburg bad but they wouldn't realize that this was a down year for SP. No QB and mostly freshman and sophomores. Whe they hit Ezell then they saw football the way it really is. They next year they bragged and blowed again not realizing what's out there and Boyd ran over them. This year there's Trousdale, Mt Pleasant etc. waiting and if they don't start seeing just how they play football away from their area they ain't ever going to have a chance at a state title.

Hampton can't beat any of the teams listed. Namely Trousdale, Jackson Christian, Mt. Pleasant, Friendship, Jo Byrns, South Pittsburg Them big ole boys can't compete with a balance of Pass and speed. They will run and throw all over you. Hampton didn't make any racket in 2A and won't in 1A as soon as they leave region 1 and 2 they are done for.

CPA had the guts to take on Riverdale.

Without talking bull here is what I think each teams chances are. Just my opinion. Trousdale 100 - 50 Jackson Christian 75 - 50 Mt Pleasent 50 - 50 Jo Byrns 45 - 50 South Pittsburg 40 - 50 Friendship Christian 35 - 50 Union City 30 - 50 Coalfield 25 - 50

Oh the competition was the same in 1A or better for the last 5 years that's why yall went to 3A. You just came sneaking back when a lot of the competition left.

I believe we spanked them last. Also we spanked them as many times as they have us. They didn't stick around after the last one. CPA put em on the road to 3A.

They are far from being the best team with 1A enrollment.

Everyone of them is ranked 12 or 13 or lower except Friendship .

Here's the kind of sportsmanship their coach has, when they lost to South Pittsburg in the semis in 99. They refused to shake hands and got on the bus with their pads on, their clothes having been put on the bus when it was apparent they were going to lose. They almost beat their fans back to Hartsville and the fans had a head start. It's hard to stay on top in 1A due to the small enrollments but TC always having the largest enrollment they have more to choose from. Don't think for a minute that they didn't enjoy beating RBS by 91 they would have liked more and so would the fans. That's the mentality in Hartsville and of their coach.

If TC can score that many they sure will. They may not lose this year, but it's just a matter of time. Then watch um whine. One thing for sure they won't stay around to shake hands. In 99 They almost beat the fans back to Hartsville and the fans had a head start. I bet it was a little crowded on the bus with all that gear on.

I wonder if RBS got on the bus with their pads on and refused to shake hands like Trousdale did the last time they got beat at South Pittsburg.
