I've looked over the entire playoff scenarios and this is what I come up with as well.

    RBS - Jackson County

  3. If it is as you say then CR won the district last year. Clarkrange was the host of the district tournament and all games have been played at CR through last night. So yes Clay has something to say about it being the higher seed. If the site is changed it should go to the higher seed period. Why the Clay administration would agree to play at JC is way beyond me.

Jackson County won the district tournament last year which is why I was referring to that.

I am glad it has changed then because that is how it should be. A team should be rewarded for finishing 1st in the regular season other than a #1 seed in the throughout tournament.

It might be a competitive region tournament this year. Goodpasture dropped their first game of the tournament to Watertown and hasn't really dominated the tournament like the private school in 8a normally does.

  4. We will see how the pitching goes both teams will throw there number one's. I like Clay's chance they have now beat JC at JC and at CR. I'm dumb founded that the powers at be from Clay agreed to play at JC not the most intelligent of moves. So what softball is there all four teams are the same Clay and JC both games.

Unless thing have changed, the teams in the softball district normally rotate from year to year as who gets to host the tournament. In baseball the winner of the district from the previous year gets to host the tournament the next year. Since JC won it last year they get to host the entirety of the tournament and Clay has no choice but to play this game at JC. Like I said unless it changed this is how it normally goes.
  5. How's this district shaping up? It looks like so far it is Goodpasture at the top, RBS at the bottom, and the rest up for grabs between Trousdale, Watertown, and Gordonsville.

  6. being a local, do you think thicwas a good move for MC?

If it were me doing the hiring I would look for a young coach who is going to stay there for a long time. I'm a believer in having stability in the coaching position because you can't build a program when you constantly switch coaches, I think MC's football program is a good example of that. Coach White doesn't have too many more years left to coach, but he is a good coach who'll get more opportunities at Lafayette than what he got at RBS. I believe if he was someone unknown to the area it wouldn't be wise to bring someone like him in, but since he's well known in Macon County I think it was a good move because everyone knows exactly how he's going to coach. His assistant is just graduating from Cumberland University so it could be a possible coaching position for her whenever he does hang it up for good. He's been at it for a long time so I hope he has success in Lafayette.
  7. Overall sloppy game last night both starting pitchers threw well and went 5 innings each. Errors on both teams out of 12 total runs scored maybe half were earned. Looks like the JC vs CR will have a big impact on who wins the district. Clay and CR split and Clay and JC split.

This is why I say getting the #1 seed in the regular season is extremely important because 2 of these 3 teams will meet in the first round of the district tournament while the other gets Monterey in the first round.
