PS Page is not in the top 5 in Middle Tennessee! Rwood' date=' Father Ryan, Inde, Brentwood, Siegel, Ensworth, are all better[/quote]

Well, bb317, if you check our schedule you will see that Page beat Indy twice, Brentwood once, Siegel once, but I guess you're talking about AAA and Div. II-AA as who cares about AA schools. Oh yea, we beat Father Ryan at their tournament, but whose counting.

    Good luck to Father Ryan..

  2. Team Stats:

    Page: 55 Pos Pts (40 Kills, 5 Blks, 10 Aces) - 35 Assts - 59 Digs - 23 Neg Pts

    Goodpasture: 23 Pos Pts (14 Kills, 4 Blks, 5 Aces) - 14 Assts - 20 Neg Pts

Page had six players with kills, three players with blks, and five players with aces.

Two Page hitters were in double figures in positive points.

Page advances to the central site (Murfreesboro) of the State Tournament as the Site 6 Qualifier.

It will be interesting to see how the TSSAA fills the bracket with the eight site qualifiers.

  3. I will be calling in to CoachT (The Man) with game scores from Page after each game. Maybe he will post them here. Or, maye he will be at Page taking photos if he has time - which he won't - I don't think. I'll wear my CoachT T-Shirt so maybe the Goodpasture people will think I'm him. I'll be sure to chamge to my blue Page T-Shirt before the match begins. I'll be there at 5 PM selling autographs.

Serious report by me later tonight.

CoachT had to leave before the Championship match due to other commitments.

  6. I believe all the district tournaments have been completed so the teams in the regionals should be known. The last time I looked at TSSAA.org, the brackets had not been updated in any classification. I would think that they should be updated this weekend or at the latest Monday since most of the Regionals are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct 20.

  7. All-District Regular Season:

Brentwood - #2 Lauren Kaufman, #20 Maggie McPherson, #15 Emily VanGrinsven

Centennial - #21 Chelsea Sullivan, #4 Kelly Peterson, #11 Angela Conners

Franklin - #15 Alesha Humphrey, #4 Jacqueline Chritchlow

Hillsboro - #8 Isabelle Harrison, #3 Casey Murphy

Independence - #4 Kristen Johnson, #3 Caroline Carlton, #15 Morgan Murphy, #6 Kristy Hughes

Ravenwood - #18 Alyssa Ivey, #16 Meredith Richardson, #23 Stephanie Cerino, #10 Michaela Bailey

    MVP - Ravenwood's #2 Madelyn Hutson

Coach of the Year - Independence's Stephanie Prewitt

    All-Tournament Team:

    Franklin - #15 Alesha Humphrey

    Centennial - #13 Cassidy Horvath

Brentwood - #2 Lauren Kaufman, #10 Nicole Poland

Hillsboro - #4 Elizabeth Smith, #20 Soncya Williams

Independence - #3 Caroline Carlton, #4 Kristen Johnson, #15 Morgan Murphy

Ravenwood - #1 Callie Christopherson, #8 Jazzy Oates, #2 Madelyn Hutson

    MVP - Ravenwood's #16 Meredith Richardson

I talked briefly with Ravenwood Coach Tracey Berry after the match and she said that the Regional would be held at Ravenwood next Tuesday with opponents of Antioch and Glencliff facing Ravenwood and Independence. Not sure who plays who at this point.

Congratulations to all the players and coaches above and good luck to Ravenwood and Independence as they move on the road to the State Tournament.

I know the Brentwood supporters were disappointed that the Lady Bruins did not advance, but they have no seniors so they should be back with a strong team for next year.

  8. Semi-Finals:

    Ravenwood 3, Hillsboro 0 (25-8, 25-22, 25-18)

    Independence 3, Brentwood 2 (20-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-4)

Independence had a great comeback after being down 2 games, but they held on and played great defense to win the match. I can't remember when Brentwood didn't advance except for the year they used an ineligible player in the district tournament.

    Championship:

    Ravenwood 3, Independence 1 (25-19, 13-25, 25-17, 25-12)

Meredith Richardson was named Tournament MVP as she had several good blocks.

Madelyn Hutson was named Regular Season MVP for her hard kills.

I'll post the All-District and All-Tournament teams tomorrow.

  9. District 11 is host of the Region 6-AA Tournament since it is an odd-numbered year. There is usually a meeting of the coaches who decide where the tournament will be held. I'm not sure if there are seating reguirements for volleyball, but I'll check at the TSSAA.org site. I assumed that since Harpeth hosted the district tournament, that they would host the regional. Let me know when you get the info on where.

  10. Here are the team stats for Page/Spring Hill:

    Page: 54 Pos Pts (31 Kills, 5 Blks, 18 Aces) - 29 Assts - 42 Digs - 12 Neg Pts

    S H: 10 Pos Pts (5 Kills, 3 Blks, 2 Aces - 4 Assts - Digs NA - 21 Neg Pts

Page had 2 players in double figures, 5 players had kills, 4 players had blocks, 7 players had aces, and 4 players had assists.

Here are the team stats for Page/East Hickman:

    Page: 65 Pos Pts (44 Kills, 1 Blk, 20 Aces) - 39 Assts - 69 Digs - 22 Neg Pts

    E H: 5 Pos Pts (3 Kills, 1 Blk, 1 Ace) - 3 Assts - Digs NA - 10 Neg Pts

Page had 3 players in double figures, 8 players had kills, 1 player with a block, 5 players had aces, and 3 players had assists.

    I can say no more.

  11. All-District Regular Season Team:

    Fairview: Felicia Warden

Hickman Co.: Katie Armstrong, Ashley Chandler

  12. Page 3, Spring Hill 0 (25-9, 25-7, 25-6) in Championship of District 12-AA played at Giles Co.

    Earlier, Page 3, East Hickman 0 (25-10, 25-8, 25-9) in first Semi-Final and

    Spring Hill 3, Lewis 2 (25-14, 18-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13) in the second Semi-Final

Molly Locke of Page was Tournament MVP.

Nicole Smith of Page was Regular Season MVP.

I'll post other All-Tournament and All-District players tomorrow.

  13. It was Senior Night at Franklin as Mady Burnett, Caroline Hendershot, and Alesha Humphrey were honored before the Varsity match began with roses from Coach Kim Miller as their parents joined them at the mid-court area.

It was an exciting 5 game match as Page came away with the hard fought victory 3-2 (25-16, 24-26, 25-9, 26-28, 15-6). There was a lot of ebb and flow in the match as Franklin was pumped up for their seniors. I promise to post some team stats when I run the numbers later tonight. Franklin JV won 25-21, 25-22 in the opening match. Page Varsity is now 31-4 for the season, I think. Still a little dazed after the 2 hr. match.
