Donations for the Nathan Fuhrman fun were received from as far North as Maryland and as far South as Southern Georgia and all points in between. I was told the exact amount was confidential however it was substantial. The compassion and generosity of the wrestling community in a time of need has been very special. An autopsy performed on Nathan Fuhrman determined that a heart defect from birth was the cause of death. The failure of his heart was not activity related and his resuscitation would have been impossible even if he would have been in a hospital when the incident occurred. Knowing the cause of death still leaves me to question "why" do these things happen to people so young. I can only say that it was God's will and God took him home. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and heart felt messages. Yesterday Nathan Fuhrman a Sophomore wrestler collapsed at practice and passed away later at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma. No further information has been released at this time. Nathan is survived by three brothers. Both parents of the family are deceased. They have been cared for by their aunt. We are estimating that the Championship round will start between 4:30 and 5:30. This is an estimate only we will continue to wrestle from start to finish (there will be a short break to reconfigure the gym after the consolation finals) NOTE:Busdrivers are to drop off wrestlers in front of the school and park in the parking lot at the baseball field(located at the far end of the Football field)
