Is there not enough Maryville people on the School board who can stop this?  I am no Alcoa fan by any means but I will say this. I guarantee you the Bledsoe,Marsh,Tyson,Warren,Kellog and Suddereth families wouldn't allow outsiders to take control of Alcoa High School.

Doesn't alcoa have a principal and assistant principal from anderson county, and an assistant principal and athletic director from Maryville?

I Actually have season tickets and have had longer than you have been alive. We have a great product at Maryville High, why hide it. A lot of people that really had a lot to do with building this program can't go to the games anymore but I guess that's something you'll figure out for yourself in 25 years or so. Look at the teams that have games on YouTube like Bradley Central and even Eagleton. Maryville has a rich history in football and they should promote it. I don't go to some games due to my wife being disabled and Having a real bad day so I stay home and make sure she'll be okay. Major reason I can't jump up and go on a long away trip like I used to. That's just apart of life though. It's not just me but a lot of people want to go to the games but can't go. The Farragut website might only have one championship but they have an access to go on there so their fans can see the games. I would much rather pay Maryville High a fee on watching a broadcasted ball game on our own network if the worry is lost gate revenue. That's great that our coaches have the best of everything but a lot of your older fans are sitting at home forced out that help build this program.

    So, zero - got it

For the grand titans of years ago that we owe everything to - name names, I’ll give them a ride

2021 to my knowledge. What some of the leaders at Maryville High don't understand is the people they love to cherish or that are on board with their agenda don't have two nickles to rub together. The one's that can write the big checks are tired of what's going on up there and quit writing them. We have a great athletic program with a 1924 mindset on promoting it. This NFHS or what ever they want to do broadcast the past few years is horrible. I'm not the only one that gets mad about that. When you have two County High Schools that have nothing compared to Maryville but can put on a production of every game of the season making us look like crap. Look at Farragut and their football website and what do we have, something that looks like one of the elementary schools put together. If they want to look like Fido's Azz keep on doing what your doing up there.

How much of that 45,800 in 2022 came out of your pocket? You won’t even hardly buy a ticket to a home game, just so you have the opportunity to come on here and complain about NFHS

How many state titles are featured on that farragut website? One? From eight years ago?  Who gives a darn about a website

Do our coaches have the latest and greatest technology for practice and games?  I don’t care about NFHS, I care about HUDL. We’ve got drone, endzone, and sideline cameras feeding live playback to tablets and TVs.  I guess my priorities are just different

I've watched this stuff clearly change since the late 80's. At Maryville their trying to please big brother except do it even better. When we've had this going on for close to 40 years most younger people don't know any better. There isn't a place in this country anymore you can pull over on the side of the road to take a wizz without somebody watching you on a camera. I wouldn't be surprised if Maryville don't have fart detectors in each class to find out the guilty party that cut the cheese.

You use "we" and 40 years as if you've contributed in some way

Gage getting hurt won't likely lead to more guys playing both sides.  Seems like we ran a few OL/DL out both ways, but I'm not sure who else could have done it this year.

First of all I have nothing in the world against you because we all have our own beliefs. I know you've experienced the inside of the program so lets say your inside of the picture. I was once inside the picture many many years ago and know things have changed for the better. Now I'm on the outside of the picture and see things your not realizing many from my generation disagree with that went there and why those quit going. Do you realize there aren't 10-15 players I can name that still go to those games that were apart of those 70's teams that really set the tone for Maryville Football and I know every single one of them so I do know. Half the guys in my senior class all came to the games up until just a few years ago and the majority quit because of the way the place is ran. I've been on here raising cain about the NFHS and what Ding Dong did and if someone didn't stand up and say something about this it would it would go unnoticed and swept right under the rug like all the other bull#### they get away with up there. This has nothing to do with the temporay slide in the football program but we have a Class 1 A product up there that is not being capitalized on because the place is run by darned idiots that have no business in the positions they have.

You have said some very ignorant and hateful comments about our players, coaches, admin, and fans.  You have compared the principal to Hitler and the NK dictator.  Nobody at 825 is the idiot in this situation, you've locked that up for yourself

Hold up… where did you butt into this conversation? You wanna get on here and act like maryville has all the support they did when they were winning championships. Read the comments maryvilles own fans are saying  people “got tired of watching Oakland pound maryville” maryvilles crowd is pathetic compared to what it was. What happened September 1st I think there were what 200 maryville fans? Yeah lastnight they wanted to get the momentum going again for a hopes of advancing in playoffs.. desperately  by being busses full of students. Maryvilles support has died and is dying dramatically. September 1st was pathetic… maryville brought hardly nobody. Bradley is only another new addition to the beginning of the fall of maryville… you reign and you fall just like the Roman Empire… Oakland was the bullet that stopped maryville and bearden and Farragut and Bradley are only a simple flavor of kryptonite that ends it. A reign will not last forever and this is just the beginning of the fall. So don’t get on here and act like maryvilles fans are true die hards…, let’s see how next years fans look.

You need to separate the fact that BS is not a Maryville fan. Nothing he says represents actual Maryville fans

I could’ve been more specific, but did not want to. Yes, the basketball teams have definitely struggled. Hopefully the two new coaches can get it turned around. The baseball team continues to finish in the bottom half of the district culminating with hairtage ending our season last year…f’n hairtage. I don’t keep up with all the stats, but I’m pretty sure the football team has lost more games the last two years than in a whole bunch of years put together. What has changed? The same coaches and the same feeder systems. I don’t think the AD should get a pass. Maybe the answer is two ADs? One over track and one for the primary sports? Who else would be responsible when we have a County track meet and a baseball tournament within 50 yards of each other with only 45 parking spaces? Or baseball players missing graduation if they work hard and get to the substate game? There should be better planning within the sports programs, and IMO the AD plays a role in that. Hopefully he is there to help, and not just count money.

I appreciate you r-tic-u-l8ing a response, although I do disagree with the assessment of "decline"

In today’s world, where you’re paying good money to have a “athletic Director“, I think some of the blame needs to go to whoever is in that position. Most sports at 825 seem to be in a decline the last few years. That time frame coincides with the current ADs time. Maybe coincidence? Good luck getting him to call you back.

    Which teams are in decline?

Cross country over-performed at the state meet.  Nick has done a very nice job with track.  Volleyball is really good.  Baseball seems to do about what you'd expect in our district with HV & FHS.  Is basketball in decline? Tennis? Golf?

Have you ever kicked the hornet's nest down. That's basically what Maryville High School does to its older fans that can't make the trips or can't climb a big steep stadium anymore. You shut the door on their fingers, the fingers that help make this program back in the 50s 60s and 70s. Here's the skinny, if you ain't going to have the dang thing don't advertise it and take people's money and let them find out 5 minutes before kickoff. Is it too hard for someone up there to let everyone know if the game will be shown or not. That's plain and simple cockeyed laziness.

That's a bunch of words that don't answer a simple question

Yikes. I'm not familiar with the current principal, and a lot of the administration is either gone or retired since I was there. But it's obvious they don't care too much about promoting football and sports. The game broadcasts can bring a lot of positive attention, advertising opportunities, great experience for students looking to get into that field, I could go on and on. And it doesn't have to be a complicated setup. Just give me a wide shot camera angle, a closeup, a scoreboard, and announcers. That's literally all they need for a solid game broadcast, and they refuse to do it. It blows my mind.

How much does an NFHS broadcast bring into MHS?
