Who cares.The Wildcat Classic means absolutely nothing,so don't get too excited.Last time i checked the district games were the ones that counted.Thats good though,get your confidence up.As I recall, two maybe even three starters were out that game because of sickness,injury,etc.Soddy will be ready in district play.

Although Soddy lost last night there were some bright spots during the game. Right fielder,Tyler Phelps, went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a triple.He also had 4 or 5 RBIS.Wes Daughtery also had a couple crucial hits that help make the game closer.Phelps has really stepped it up the last couple games.The soddy pitching staff could not fool ooltewah.Last night you could really tell what the two teams had been working on - HITTING. Both soddy and ooltewah made many defensive mistakes during the seven innings.soddy just made more.Its kinda hard to take home the win when ground balls go between peoples legs and dinky pop flys are not charged at from the outfielders. I also think that ooltewahs "Ace" Adam Trent is overrated. Soddy scored 5 off of him.Although the score was 19-11, I still believe soddy can pull off the win next game against ooltewah.it looks like that the game will be cancelled today because of rain and it looks like its going to rain the rest of the week,so maybe ooltewahs ace can rest up and be ready to face soddy again.

Could someone tell me how fast Ryan Moore actually throws? I've heard so many different numbers its not even funny.Don't tell me his top speed, I wanna know what he throws consistently during a game.Surely if you're related to him you know.

i think that Soddy not having an "ACE" this year will make them even better. They know they are gonna have to play as a team. That was one of the main problems last year. Everybody thought BJ could win it all out on the mound.Its not possible. you gotta score. The pitchers have been working year round with pitching coach Jared Hensley .(former SD Trojan).Yesterday we scrimmaged McCallie and four pitchers made an appearence.Through 7 innings there was only 1 earned run.

It looks like this thread is full of posts by people who play for east ridge. I think they willl be decent.As for them not wanting to "show their stuff",that is just stupid.If the team has improved as much as people are saying then i would be proud to go and scrimmage and beat the crap out of people.I dont think they have any surprises up their sleeve. There is a lot of hype about the new coach.I think the hype is getting into the players' heads.
