Soddy Daisy nabbed ron shumate, formerly of utc fame. in 2 consecutive years, he took the mocs to the division II title and runner up the next. his age is the only concern (he is in his early 60s i think), but i think soddy is getting one of the best.

next? im sure mvb will still hear it from people about that woulda, coulda, shouldas. heard it all before, the record speaks for itself: 14-0. the dynasty continues. and trae jackson has something coming to him. no one packs the best shooter in the league and gets away with it.

the opinions of some that i have heard are that McKenzie arena (formerly the round house) was built to compensate the large crowds that came to utc basketball games during the shumate era. apparently, mcclellan gym could no longer hold the crowds that came to watch the success of the mocs program under shumate. now, this is just gossip around the high school, but it sounds pretty good to me.

well im just saying ive read a couple of threads that you have posted in and have noticed your...how should i put it..."passion"...in your speech. it just seems like youre getting worked up over nothing. ive been around to see grad's posts too, and they dont seem that bad...but i couldnt be wrong, because im not even from ooltewah. just throwin in my opinion.

wow dirtyowlman, thats a little harsh, dont you think? im a senior this year and i dont even go to ooltewah, but im sure ill get on here a little after i graduate to check on my team. i mean, it is kinda interesting. and last time i checked, you know that coacht guy who started this website? i dont think he's in high school either. i could be wrong though.

lance sexton at soddy daisy. if he'd have played in a better system, he'd be in a division-1 school right now. he's currently starting for lee university as a true freshman.
