I started throwing a curve ball when i was bout 11 and it didnt hurt my arm, but i didnt break my wrist when i threw it so it didnt put strain on my elbow. That is the key just finding a way to throw it without breaking ur wrist. One of the best ways in my opinion is to throw more of a slider and just put more pressure on ur middle finger and it will just put a lil cut on it but throw it just like a fastball at a young age but as he gets older then he might can start breaking it off, but i still dont and i am a sophomore and its probably my best pitch.
