  1. I guess we differ in our definitions. I don't consider grabbing a jersey or using (not throwing) an elbow to get separation, dirty. To me, dirty is hitting someone in the back with an elbow on a header or throwing elbows toward the head or trying to take somebody's legs out. Dustin doesn't do that. But the school down the road from Farragut....now that's another thing...... Have you ever played with or against Dustin?
  2. Strong and aggressive, maybe, but certainly NOT dirty, though he will retaliate if somebody takes a shot at him. "Dirty" implies that he takes cheap shots or tries to hurt people. He doesn't do that, never has.
  3. I gotta say Dustin Crouse of Farragut. Quick, fast, smart, great vision and touch. Won outstanding defensive player at the Beech tourney. Starting sweeper/stopper for Knoxville Select for several years. Simply doesn't get beat 1 on 1.
  4. That's not acurate. Hoover is not a top 20 team, they are only #6 in the state of Alabama in division 6A and Cullman is #1 in 5A. Besides, nobody said Bearden didn't have a good defense. Their defense is not as strong as it was last year and they have not faced a team with anywhere NEAR as strong an attack as Farragut. We'll see how good Bearden is after April 17. 5. Hardly. Blackman started the freshmen in the second half after the game was out of reach. Farragut destroyed them. They were considerably better in every aspect of the game and were considerably better than every other team at the tournament, including BGA. The only team with a chance to stay on the field with Farragut is Bearden, and even they don't have the defense to stop them. Colquitt is a non-factor. This Farragut team is one of the stronger teams in the state for the past several years.

Blair is outstanding but will have no help offensively. They will have no chance against Farragut or Bearden. [Edited by Seldon on 3-20-03 6:25P]

IMO, he was as good last year as Crunk at Bearden. Better athlete but not as experienced. He should dominate this season.
  8. Let's see how many shots Matt even gets off when he is being smothered by Dustin Crouse and the Farragut defense. Fine player for sure, but not the best all-round player on BHS.
  9. Greatest ever, huh? How do you explain when he goes one-on-one against one of his club team members, he can't even get a shot off. Matt has a nose for the goal but he is predictable, one-dimensional and his ball skills aren't near the level of his own BHS teammate, Derrick Radclife.
