Mitchell Thomas is my hero!

I was sitting at the same angle that the far linesman was looking at and had the same view as he did. Drew Courtney did not have his back to that ref because he was running from right to left diagonally across the field and you could clearly see the left side of his face. As far as the call goes I'm not gonna get into that but that far ref had a clear line of sight to the ball that the other linesman couldn't have because the closer linesman was at a bad angle having to try to look through both players. The center ref should have been in better position though.

I'll second the Mitch Thomas nomination.

SyFy, you're right, they lost a lot on defense when they lost that Mark guy, their left back. He was legendary for his touch and dribbling ability, I'm sure you agree with this.

Bearden already has a keeper. Josh Elam is one of the best in the state and he'll be back next year.

Catholic doesn't have anyone that is a stand out player on their team. They play very well together though. Catholic pressures very well and they play very hard for all 80 minutes. If any DII teams overlook Catholic they will probably get beat. Good luck in Memphis Catholic.

Pennyplay, I don't really think you have a right to tell anyone (yoshee) to learn how to play soccer, especially when that person is going to Memphis this coming week to play for a state championship.

Who all from A/AA is going to Memphis and who will they be playing?

Lenoir City plays at CAK Thursday for the Region II championship.

Roberto Medena was a stand out player last year on the team that won the district and the region. He was arguably the best all around defender in the region as a sophomore. The head coaches choose the players on the all-district, all-region teams. Appearently he stood out enough to win the votes of the other head coaches.
