  1. I agree as does most of the state. I am lucky, one of my son was pulled back in and the other was not. We do not start the tournament until 4 on the first day. Why don't we start it at noon and give 4 more hours of wrestling on that day. That would make it to simple I guess. You have to many quality wrestlers who don't make it to the consolations because they are not "pulled back in". The list this year is big, just like years prior. There is to much that is worked for throughout their years and careers to not give everyone that opportunity. I know, the best find their way to the podium, but the downside to that is the best 6 find their way to meet eachother in the first 3 rounds alot of the time. Which leaves some sitting out. We can argue both sides of this coin, but the truth is this is the most important tournament of the year, give the kids a chance to wrestle. Just my opinion.

  2. I am hoping that someone might be able to help me. My son is wanting to go to the Junior Nationals, but I am unable to get off work during that week. I am looking for someone who might be taking a group of kids up that would have room for 1 more. Of course I would help with gas and pay all of his expenses. We live in Greeneville, but I would be able to meet someone at a convinient location for them. If anybody can help, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

  3. Congratulations Greeneville on making it to the state duals. You all wrestled very well tonight. Good luck to both Science Hill and Greeneville in Clarksville. I know both teams will represent region 1 well.

Congratulations to Science Hill on their victory tonight.

  5. The way I underdstand it is that Woodford had the date wrong. They originally thought it was the 7th, and they had a dual tournament scheduled for the 14th. They were unable to change their tournament and had to drop out. Science Hill had their annual tournament on the 14th also. Hopefully, both teams will be back next year, both teams bring great talent to the GIT.

All and all Greeneville looked pretty good. The loss at 125 was a freshman getting mat time. Sneed did not wrestle. Hopefully we will have a good seaon.
