Maybe you need to check your facts... the Shelbyville coach was willing to take the job, because it was closer to his home than Shelbyville. All he needed was a little extra money to make it an afordable move. The point I am trying to make is that we do not have a fine football coach here. We passed on too many fine football coaches for a guy that runs a certain formation. We have what is referred to as a "players coach." He wants too much for the players to like him... "let's be friends!... see you on World of Warcraft!...I'll add you to my facebook!" And what do i spend my time and effort doing? How about risking my life and the lives of people below me to insure that you can sleep at night and you have freedom!

The talk around the Woodbury community (from everyone close to the program) thought this was the year that they could make the playoffs and advance. I think it was said that "this was the best team that Cannon County had ever had." So in retro... you had the best team that Cannon County had ever had, and possibly the worst coach Cannon County had ever had and went 4-6? Bring back Nickerson! Even he could have lead this team to the playoffs!

How are the boys from Coffee County going to fair next year? Any returning studs?

Ask the fellas at Oakland about your head coach. McDaniel was about to send him packing after a couple of conversations with the guy. That's right, your head coach that your administration hand-picked was a couple of days away from being let go as a freshman coach at Oakland High School. I think the word "incompetent" was used. Onside kicks, crazy motives, dropping coaches, questionable play calling? You want your program run like a Murfreesboro freshman program... you bring in a freshman coach. I know for a fact that Shelbyville's offensive coordinator/ now at Portland/ would have made the move for slightly more money. I know the guy at Siegel would have taken the job. I know the guy at LaVergne would have taken the job... but instead your administration chooses a guy because he runs the Wing-T. It was quoted from the administration, "Bartch runs the wing T and that's what we need!" I know it was said, because I heard it!!! So, Cannon County... 4-6 with the best team you have ever had is what you get.
