Our tallest player is maybe 6'2", sounds like trouble for Forrest.

we have to show up and play well to beat a good team like Forrest.

Should be exciting to see what the talent is for this year. How early should one be there??

i got a reserved seat....but the gym has been remodeled, and if you want to set on the bottom section, you'd better get there early.......

Forrest returns 4 starters from last year's team. They can get up and down the floor and play good defense. Very quick. However, no height. What does Clarkrange have?

A good group of young athletes and a 6'5 center that should be a premier player in our area this year. If they can play strong defense and be patient on offense, they can be really good.

BF, I guess no-one cares.... I'll say Clarkrange wins pulling away.

Our Ladies care...they are pumped. Safe travel wishes for Forrest Fans. Should be packed. I have so much respect for the way Clarkrange and Forrest has continued this HOF tradition. It's a hard trip, but a showcase matchup in the state....

I hear Forrest returns a veteran team, while Clarkrange will rely on some talented young players. How does everyone see this shaking out?

Let's here it. This has turned into a good rivalry. They got us good last year at Chapel Hill......

Good win to start the year for the Buffaloes. Alderman and Jones are really stepping up as leaders. I thought Stephens helped set some ealry offensive confidence that carried over to his teamates. His shots early on where a huge boost for the team. The Henry twins always give 110% and they are such great kids, they are really gonna help this year.(Hoping to see a talented freshmen group worked into this rotation....I think they will with time...the talent is there and they are really gonna be something special when they get some experience.) This team will improve as the season goes on. Hoping they have another good year.

Congrats to Forrest. They just kicked our butts on both ends of the floor. Beth Hawn was a good player last year, she was absolutely dominant tonight and is right up there with Laken Leonard as a Miss Basketball contender this season.

They came out ready to play and we came in thinking we were gonna win and it showed.

I hope this game motivates our girls to work hard.

I hate to loose, but enjoy this rivalry and the hospitality.

Watched Clay Co. play York...but where was Amelia Kirk(6' Jr I think)? She did not play.....just curious....

Congrats to Leonard. They are getting one of the best. MTSU continues to pull some of the best from the state.

If i am an embarrassement to JC what are you to Clarkrange? What i have said isn't even close to what you said about Laken and you know it! I just asked questions you attacked an innocent teenager and now you want to get on here and act like you are the CoachT police? You don't think the kids deserve having their team trashed? In what way has anyone trashed CR's team? Atleast no one has made it personal on here and called them and their family out by name like you did on several occassions! If my vanilla posts get me into any kind of trouble i promise you the ones you posted will come back tenfold on you! You cant stand anyone to say anything about CR unless its all about how good you are or have been. If anything out of the way is said you are right there to jump on the poster. So if i was you before i threaten anyone else with "trouble" i would keep my mouth closed because you will be in more trouble than anyone if you want to take it further! You want the thread to be closed because it talks about a very tough issue that i promise you some of the young ladies on CR's team are facing. You aren't worried about them as students and players and having a great high school experience they can remember for a lifetime, no no not you, all you care about is winning another gold ball no matter what the cost. I said it once and i will say it again, my question is a very valid question and one that some of these young ladies and their famillies are dealing with. We both know that if this was JC you would be on here screaming bloody murder and you know it. So keep to the topic and if you don't have any feedback on it then just don't look at it.

You need to go back, read what I said...I never trashed anyone, especially not the student....I hope Laken Leonard gets an awsome scholarship (hope to see her at TTU or MTSU). I said I was sorry for being so critical...and that is it...I owe you nothing else. You are so mad because we are on top right now you get on a message board and want to trash our team. It does make me mad when someone talks bad about ANY part of our school or any school in our county.

I am sorry that I ever said anything about the JC situation two years ago. I was very critical of comments that the Leonard family made in the Tennessean. Like I have said, I was more bitter about the competition than anything.lol I deserve all this bad talk, but I do not think the kids deserve having their team trashed because I ran my mouth.

mrbigster- you have made some good points, but I think it would be hard for TSSAA to enforce inter-county school zones.

I will tell you all from a personal standpoint that I ran my mouth about Laken Leonard all of 2007-08 season and then she beat us in state finals. I had a nice piece of humble pie when Molly moved in and helps us go 39-0 and win it all last year. Molly Heady is an outstanding person, as well as an athlete. Now Carley has made the move and most every 8th grader in the county wants a shot to play at Clarkrange. I wish all the kids success no matter where or what they play. I hate the fact that York was the place Carley left. I want York to be win and be successful too. I dont know Carley very well, but I hope she does well and it benefits her. I look forward to supporting our teams this year.

You dont have to recruit players. Success brings attention to your program and provides kids close to Clarkrange with an opportunity to be a part of it.

What I have learned from this is that it happens alot and if people are following the rules and the rules provide for a move, who am I to run my mouth about it all the time??? (who am i to run my moouth about 99% of the stuff i fuss about...lol) If you dont agree with transfers, have you every went thru the proper channels to get the rules changed?

I respect AuntKim and her opinion, but I think she would have a different take on this if someone like a Lauren March had moved in to Forrest last year and they would have run the table. AuntKim, what would you say about this if you were on the other side of it and you got to know some of these girls like Molly or Carley? Would you be so quick to be critical? I was very critical of Leonard's family, but was more ticked that they had kicked our tail than anything. I am not saying either of us would agree with transferring, but if it was my kid and they wanted it and it would benefit them or make them happier, I would do it and most anyone would if they thought they were doing what was best for their kid.

and about the JV playing against Forrest...I do not think that was meant to be disrespectful...please do not take it that way....it is just camp...

I agree, OZ is a great team...I stress team. Christopher is awesome and can take over a game, but they have some players that we have to stop in order to win. Hall is smart and really knows how to distribute and they can really get hot from outside if you dont play good D. Gotta limit Christophers touches and get in the other gals faces.

Congrats to Forrest on a great season. This is turning out to be a good rivalry and I have great respect for the Forrest Lady Rockets and their fans.

This was a tense game, but Reed and Green broke it loose in the second half with outside shots and we pulled it out. Molly was shakey and made some uncharacteristic mistakes, but she should do better come Friday..still led us in scoring and hustled like a champ.

I thought Phillips looked cool and calm all day. She really stepped up as a leader today and helped coach on the floor.

Good game plan by Forrest to stay in Lowe's shirt and try to disrupt the offense, but she still pushed the ball down the floor and made some good decisions.

Clarkrange stayed calm, made adjustments, and won against a very good team.

Forrest will probably be back at state next season....even loosing like 6 players to graduation.

Good job Lady Buffs....let"s get ready for Christopher and company on Friday.

Clarkrange will be ready Friday. The girls played a heck of a second half against Forrest and I hope it carries over to the game vs. OZ.....Go Lady Buffaloes!

We are not perfect, our record is so far, but not our whole game...but I know we will play hard.

Clarkrange has not and will not overlook Forrest. Who would want to play a team in the first round of their calibur. This is their fourth straight trip. They thrive off of big games and pulling huge upsets. Forrest was on of the teams I did not want in our bracket, but like options said...u gotta win three...and it doesnt matter where you start. This game is no guarteed win.

We have four quarters of ball to play against them and hopefully we win, but all the talk ain't gonna give us a lead and run the time off the clock. Our Lady Buffs gotta go out there and play hard and proud.
