  1. CSAS 1--CAK 0, the big upset!!!

CAK seem to always be on a mission this time of year. I just don't see it happening. Nonetheless, this is why we play the game and anything can happen. Good luck to both teams.

  2. A/AA

    Dyersburg vs. Knox Catholic

    CAK vs. CSAS

    AAA

    Hendersonville vs. Farragut

    Bearden vs. Ridgeway

    DII

    CBHS vs. Father Ryan

    BGA vs. MUS

A good series of games scheduled for tomorrow. How will it play out? Good luck to all. Here's my predictions:

    Dyersburg-1

    Knox Catholic-3

    CAK-4

    CSAS-0

    Bearden-1

    Ridgeway-0

    Hendersonville-3

    Farragut-1

    CBHS-2

    Father Ryan-1

    BGA-3

    MUS-1

  3. I've heard all year that if you stop Lowder, you shut down their offense. I guess Bearden's D shut down their attack. That's at least 4 shutouts in a row for Bearden's defense. Good luck tomorrow vs. Ridgeway.

  4. i completely agree with that.

another thing i meant to mention earlier was the quickness of play last night. our counters weren't too bad (when morocco actually add possession), but several times left or right backs were breaking into a ton of space and ball to space let them down, either allowing the a defender to race back or a simple poor pass.

seeing more of bocanegra in the lineup wouldn't bother me too much either.

I agree. Bocanegra brings a lot of exerience to the back line. I thought Gibbs performed pretty well last night, and can hopefully only get better coming back from injury. I'm still clueless as to why Berhalter didn't make the squad. His size could've helped us. Onyewu of course is a beast. I think Morocco's gameplan killed some of our space and didn't allow us to use our speed. Assuming the Czechs and Italians are more offensive minded, I think we can get a decent result against them.

  5. I'm just not impressed with Mastroeni. He has a keen sense for winning balls but his distribution is nowhere near that of Reyna's. Two or three times he left his man and gave Morocco scoring chances. I thought Convey played very well.

  6. You can't bet against CAK. They've been there and won three times and are poised to win #4. The last time CPA qualified was in 2002, where they lost to a very good Ridgeway team. Gotta go with an experienced team who has been there often like CAK. CAK wins 4-1.
