  1. I would like to say that I am not only proud of my boyz from the Nest, but I would also like to say that it has been an extreme pleasure to cheer for them this season. Never have I seen a group of guyz come together and accomplish things that never would have seemed possible. Congratulations seniors on a career well spent and to the rest of the team, good luck in the future.

  2. Last time I checked, Cleveland beat DA BEARS the last contest during the regular season and took our your precious Kellen Pickle. And last time I checked, the Owls lost to Cleveland on a missed buzzer beater in overtime that would have won the game.

ANY TEAM CAN WIN ANY GAME ON ANY NIGHT. Pride goes before embarrassing destruction, so you better have your heads on right. Don't be cocky cuz the Owls will make you shove it back in your pipe and smoke it all the way home on the loser bus.

  4. Ya know T97, I am about sick and tired of you being such a bearer of bad news. It's gettin' really obnoxious. I mean seriously, say something to brighten up our day for goodness sakes. Lie to us!

  5. There's no reason not to have a shot clock. It makes the players play basketball. Anyone can stand there holding a ball and I don't want people busting their butts to have to play someone as flat-out ###### as a team that would just hold the ball for quarters at a time. Many of these players are gonna' play college and have a shot clock anyway. Might as well get 'em used to it.

  6. I really don't want Kellen playing b/c that could hurt my Owls even more, however, I think it would be really stupid for him to play anyway. Why risk further injury to play in such a so-called "gimme" win anyway? Wait till substate. However, the Owls will work him along with the rest of the Bears.

    Still, Owls by 1.

  7. Cleveland beat Bradley by takin' the fight to them and not lettin' the Bears play their game. If Ooltewah attacks, forces the ball down the court, and stays in their face, anything is possible. Ooltewah has nothing else to prove or to lose. Big surprises are always around the corner.

On a limb, Owls by 1. Heck, the worst I can be is wrong.

  8. Michael Newsome from Ooltewah. He guarded Jay Davis from Cleveland, Tim Cooper from Rhea, and Jujuan from McMinn, keeping all three of these high impact players to a minimum. Jay Davis only had 3 points on Newsome the whole night and Juju might have had 6-10 while he was guarded by Mike. He's about a dozen steals away from the 200 mark as well.

  9. Ooltewah had the chance to go up another 5-6 points in the end on free throws that were botched, allowing for more tension through the final seconds. Good defensive effort by the entire Owl's squad and by Matt Miller and Cortney White in the end (both having key actions that resulted in turnovers). Hope we clean some stuff up before Bradley on Thurs.

  10. What does it matter if it was for district, region, or state? The Ooltewah fans stormed the court when Sherman Moton busted a last ditch effort shot that won the game against Central at the buzzer. That is the biggest rivalry Ooltewah has, between two of the better teams in that area. Am I mistaken to call Grace and Temple rivals? There is nothing wrong with storming the court...unless you lost and are searching for something to mouth about.

  11. Well, considering Bradley absolutely killed Jujuan and McMinn (leading 60-14 at one time and finishing with a 50-60 point victory) they seem to have found their rhythm in spite of losing KP. It would not be enjoyable for this rhythm to take them through the region, and continue after KP returns. Could spell State title and I don't even go to Bradley.

  12. Chris Baker is the new assistant coach at Ooltewah, coaching with his father, the Legendary Ron Baker. Chris Baker was a point-guard at UNC-Charlotte, where he was apparently a star. You can ask the Ooltewah team about his playing ability...apparently he can take all of em. However, he won't be able to take the Old School Ballaz of Ooltewah when the cheering section takes on the faculty and coaches on March 5, 2004 in the NEST.

  13. I honestly do not think anyone can jump with Charles Little from Cleveland. Not anyone I have ever seen at the high school level. As a sophomore, he threw a ball off the top corner of the backboard and dunked it over the top of some of my poor Ooltewah brethren. I really don't care for Cleveland or Little, but the dude could be an animal. He can jump like one anyway.
