  1. Thanks for the score. I am going to UT. I could end up at MTSU in the next four years because of their broadcasting program, but who knows!
  2. So who won the championship? Alex, where are you going to school at next year?
  3. I was rooting for you Butler since I didn't get a chance to play you in the district championship. I know that you and I both want revenge on Litchfield. I don't understand how he wins? He's just one of those players that finds a way. I think my score was the same when I played Nielson in the region last year, but don't worry about it Butler, you have had an awesome 4 years at Boyd and I have to say that I have enjoyed playing you the most. Brown
  4. I'm pretty sure Beau didn't have 4 charging fouls. It's more like the refs already had his number picked out before the game even started. How can you blame the players mistakes on the coach. I could understand if he had them in a defense that couldn't stop the other team or running an offense that couldn't score, but plays made by the point guard can't be the coach's fault. I'm sure the plan was not to get the ball to Beau and then get out of the way, it's just that the coach knows what how good of a player he is and knows what he is capable of doing. Also, you are entitled to your own belief that #23 is better than Beau, but I disagree. They both have two totally different games, but if given the choice, I would prefer Beau over #23 any day.
  5. In no way was I trying to say that Beau Brown was McMinn Central Basketball. I was simply trying to describe how much he changes the game while his is playing.
  6. Not quite poor coaching for a man who has turned the basketball program around at Central High School. If you were at the game, anyone could see that 3 of Beau Brown's fouls were crappy calls. His fifth foul occurred when he got the rebound and the ref decided that because he had the ball, he deserves the foul. Yes, if Beau was in the game, I do believe Central would have won. No, I don't believe that was the only reason why they lost. Turnovers hurt Central, but it Beau would have been in the game, that gives CHS another ball handler who is a major part of breaking the press. It confuses me how they called fouls on Brown the whole game, but in the last minute, the refs called nothing. Now, I'm not blaming the loss on the refs, but these weren't exactly the best refs I've seen. They weren't good for either team. It's alright though because I hope to see Central there again the next two years. Beau will be more determined than ever these next two to carry CHS to the same point, if not further. Congratulations and Good Luck to Alcoa, but Good Job Beau and the Central Chargers, you really have made Central High School proud.
  7. i have played against both and i have to say brewer is not overrated for sure. i played him my junior year and the boy can play. i also played against henderson and he can shoot but if he quit talking bout himself he may play harder and be one of the top players in tennessee
  8. Good prediction hixsontennis. Nope.... Hixson didn't pull this one out. The Chargers of McMinn Central won 82-59. Good Luck Big Blue!
  9. A CSAS/McMinn Central final would be nice. These teams split in the regular season with the first game going into double OT and then the second was just as close. But I wouldn't count out the other teams from District 5AA, especially Walker Valley.
  10. Mike Buckley is awesome! He is not overrated at all. I like to compare think of him as the Lebron James of highschool track! Yes, he's that good! And if you think he's smart, his intelligence has nothing on his running!
  11. HUCK, I have to agree that the Central girls are so awful! They are only ranked number seven in the state! How awful is that! This is definately a down year for the Chargerettes. They are pitiful. Also, they only have 2 players who have signed with D-1 colleges, and will probably have another. I'm sure most schools sign all five of their starters to D-1 schools because as you know, Central's girls are awful. I am ashamed for the girls in the basketball program this year. I wish the McMinn Central girls team was as good as the other District 5AA teams. If they were that good, they would definately be the best team in the state. Can you believe they have lost 3 games this year! They even got beat by Livingston Academy by 1 in overtime. There is no excuse for Central losing to such an awful program as theirs. Maybe Central will be better next year.
  12. It's funny that we had to listen to the Cherokee fans talk trash the whole week leading up to the game, but now that they were defeated by the Chargers, none of them have anything to say.
  13. I didn't catch the final score. I think Central won by 3 points. After storming the court with my fellow Chargers, I looked up and they had already taken it off the scoreboard. Maybe they were embarrassed by it. Who knows?
  14. This is why rivalries are so special. No matter if one team is better than the other, you never know what is going to happen. We can only hope that the Chargers will prevail. Go Blue!
