Fridays game has been moved to Thursday due bad weather moving in....I hope everyone makes the trip and support the players and coaches...There is alot of games to be played and win....We have played three good teams who have a combined record of 8-2...we have alot of players banged up....and a few distractions that were unseen....There is no reason for anyone to jump ship...Lot of football left in the players and coaches....Ex-Falcons need to remember where they are from.... your either with us or against us.....and I am rooting for a big win on Thursday. Go Falcons!!!!

Gate was bigger with Cherokee...even had more people in on passes(County workers) last night than Friday...... How about that half-time show????? I thought is was pretty good....nice change in half-time

We might of had trouble scoring with 14.5 seconds...the clock did not affect the outcome of the game...we just did not play well...no other excuses... Great crowd...bigger than Twin Springs....we need that kind of support in the tournament...I like our chances coming off a loss and going into the tournament. Boys do not play for another week, so go see the girls on Friday Night at Central VS Central.

You cannot use CoachT Strenght Rankings because Volunteer has had games against teams he doesnt rank We played Tennessee High which was Hall of champions game in the Bahamas we played Science Hill (you know them) Tabernacle Bapstist (former National Champs in the Bahamas) St. Georges Also we play Twin Spings twice...they are currently in first play in their confernece We played and beat Morristown East twice (AAA team in first or second of the IMAC) We lost to #4 AAA in the state to Brainard in Overtime The games versus Science Hill, Chattanooga Brainard, Tennessee High, Morristown East (2) and Tabernacle do not equal to Happy Valley non-conference games versus Tenn High, Boone, Greeneville, Unaka, and Crockett. again overall record is not a tiebreaker....that is why teams scheduale better team to get better and not to pad a record.

The tiebreaker agreed on two years ago 1st tiebreaker head to head 2nd tiebreaker record against next best conference record team if there are splits...you keep working your way down the ladder there is no tiebreaker for overall record.....many reasons for this...most important is who played a tougher scheduale...someone could have played more games...someone could have lost games to weather....So your math of overall record is impressive....it also is useless Volunteer is in the regionals...as of today...nobody else is....

I checked the annual and could'nt find the record for that season , Coach A must have used the missing games as napkins for Krispy Kream doughnuts...That was a good team ....my bad for leaving them off.... PS Sidney Mitchell's missed dunk...might have been the loudest this gym has ever seen....

I thought they had a good record to,(Parker, Leeper, Arnold and you) but checked the book and the books showed only had 16 wins in it...could have had more wins....games could not have been these book...but only found 16 wins...

The boys record is 1457....I am not sure about the girls side...they had scorers in the earl 80's.... Reno...the freshmen tourney is at Volunteer....Unicoi, North, and Elizabethton are playing in it....the other four teams choose not to.....

Top Seasons are 1998-1999 24 wins 8 losses (lost first two went 24-6 over last 30 games) Conference Champs.....District Champs...lost first round of Sectional 2002-2003 22 wins Third in District..lost first round of regional 1995-1996 21 wins Runner-up in conference, runner up in district, runner up in regional, lost sub state 2000-2001 21 wins Conference Champs.....District Champs..lost first round of regional In the past 10 years the boys have had 8 winning seasons...never had one before that Enough about that.....this season is still going strong...bring a friend with you to the game on Friday...With a win Falcons could assure a spot in the regionals...top two teams earn a regional berth....Elizabethton is as dangerous as anyone...should be a great game. PS Freshmen play at home on Thursday VS Elizabethton...Freshmen tourney starts next Wednesday the 11th...For all those diehards...come on out

Matt Gilreath had one of his best games...he took three charges....set great picks for Charles...and played with heart....The Falcons did just what the needed to...Monday at home VS a tough Morristown East...then Tuesday on the road at Johnson County...then back home friday for Elizabethton.... The best thing about this team is someone different is stepping up doing the big or litte things. On scoring it could be either Charles or Jacob....playing tough defensive it could be Porter,Gilreath or JC...and its seems one of the two sophmore (Mann or Eidson) plays well on a giving night... I just like our chances when our kids our hungary for wins. They seem more focused over the last three games, than they were the week before with loses to Happy Valley and Hampton. PS Our Freshmen lost to Unicoi Co this morning in a game of first place teams...We lost in double over-tome in Erwin. This make our record 13-2 overall and 9-2 in the conference. If you havnt seem these young bucks play yet, Volunteer will be hosting the freshmen tourney Feb 11, 12 and 14th.

Forgot to give cudos to Porter....he has played great defense in the box and 1 the last two game...when we were in it...he has just about shut his man out and caused the opposing team problems with scoring...North only had 38 point thru 3 quarters tonight...with mainly a box on Minnick...and Porter had Widener completly out of his game on Monday....It does not show up on the box score, but just as important as our scorers.

Chaulk up a road conference win...pretty at times and ugly at other, but it is just what we needed...... Once again we had great fan support....I will say that we had just as many if not more fans than North...that says alot about our Community.... Another HUGE game tomorrow....Homecoming for Unicoi County...Coach English will have them fired up....

Again the Sullivan North games moved to Wednesday has been snowed out...We will now play Thursday....all four games....two tough nights on the road ahead of us...

North and Volunteer will not play tonight Games @ North moved to Wednesday...with same times...Great win...our fans were great....we had huge numbers...probably out numbered them on their home floor... Volfalcons...you can borrow that shirt anytime......

Huge week....three games on the road....(@ Cherokee..it does not matter what the records are... this will be a war, @ North...we have something to prove after how we played last time, @ Unicoi...well coached team and it is always a tough place to play at...they will give us all we want)...this week will get us ready for tournament time...I feel our boys will play their hearts out...our boys play better with their backs to the wall...(after two losses) than they do when they have had success...(why this is I dont know, but it is a trend that I can't figure out)...Come out and follow these boys this week...We do not play at home again until next Friday VS Elizabethton Go Falcons!!!! Great win, with super fan support....A packed gym should be the norn for us....we have a first place team...if you came to the game tonight,come back next Friday and bring a friend with you...Our kids played their hearts out....coaches as usual did a fantastick job...enjoy this and get ready for Happy Valley on Tuesday. This is the best game in East Tennessee tomorrow!!!! Huge game...I expect a filled to capacity gym....ALL supporters need to come out and cheer for these boys....they play hard and the coaches coach hard....if you cant make it...listen to the best play-by-play team in Tennesee (Tony and Brian).... All signs point to a move up.....we will know in June what TSSAA does then in September when we do our census....BP your boy is calling tomorrow night...We might get him to sign clients up before the game

Harmony Community has been withdrawn...they have suspened the basketball program due to internal problems....After 48 hours of working the phones...They have been replace by Johnson County. Falcon fans show your hospitality towards our friends from Mountian City. They are helping us out with a late notice.

my bad...I meant Ryan Marshall..(probably the strongest to play(MOOSE))..there have been alot of good players and good teams....some played AAA ball and some AA ball so that makes for good arguments...We had past players pick 80's and 90's team...list is in the trophy case..still some good players missing from the list...Satch you need to come watch one night..let me know

The boys 1000 point club Bobby Smiley Chad Carr Brandon Reed Ryan Moore Travis Morelock Ryan Moore Roy Richmond Charles Lindholm Mclain was short by 3 points Satch...you wanna run the clock for basketball...haha

Roy Richmond holds the record 1458 points....Charles should pass that up in Febuary...Roy will hold the record that I believe will not be broken...121 straight varsity starts...he never missed a varsity game in all four years....Good win against a great coached team.....I hope we have a better crowd for the next home game...Go Falcons!!!!
