I stand by what I wrote. ND, So. Carolina, Auburn, UT already showing interest and he's five games into his junior year.
Are they showing interest or did they send him a letter with a questionaire to fill out? There is a difference. Being recruited is more than just gettin a letter from the schools athletic dept! 2 of those schools are also chasing a a kid as young as B.J. named Jimmy Clausen, you may have heard of him?

haha what has gerald riggs done?? that was a stupid post, did you not see what he did last year?? gaining over 1,000 yards as the backup running back...and he's running the ball pretty well this year, his team just isn't helping him out any, he was dumb for not taking his red shirt his freshmen year, but everyone makes mistakes, someone will take him in the draft next year....and about the mccallie qb thing...bj colemean is light years better than the last qb, so thats not a fair comparison, coleman really is the big deal, they aren't just hyping him up
My point was that that is exactly the same thing they said about the previous QB. Look he's good but there are 50 other QB's his age out there right now that are as good or better. You can't say he will play in the SEC right now cuz he may not develop enough to make it. The ones that develop out of those that are the "best" right now are the ones that'll be playin. The rest will be holding a clipboard for 4 years like Jim Bob Cooter!

BJ Coleman will be the most hotly recruited player ever from this area before it is over, barring injury. The other guys are good high school QBs and might "play somewhere on Saturdays." BJ will be playing somewere big time on Saturdays and very likely on Sundays later on as well.
Good luck to the rest of the QBs, but they are not in BJ's league.

Now im not saying that he is the best in chattanooga but the job that jared dobbs has done at soddy is amazing. This is his first year ever playing football! i think if he would have gotten into football when he was younger he could have been one of the top in the city easy. hes still pretty raw but hes definitely holding his own in 5A football.

There is no way they are gonna move him back to wideout! They have an outstanding wideout in Eric Atchley and now they have an outstanding running game with the ball in ricketts hands. This is the result of such fine coaching. This could be one of Weather's most impressive years of coaching if they can right the ship and make the playoffs! This is exactly what we have been missing for so many years!!

Soddy should win this one. They've looked a whole lot better since they started getting one of their best players the ball more often! I wish they could have that red bank and william blount game back with ricketts at tailback, i think there would be a different outcome.

Atchley is the best of 4 on this list. He is putting up these numbers while playing with a quarterback who has never played football before this year!!

Yes, we all know this because you post these facts (especially the Bradley at Bradley game) every single chance you get. If they were so good why did they not go further in the post season? The last good team was i believe the team with sullivan and johnson and company.

Again I say, this is not the 60's, 70's, or even 80's. Daisy dukes are for women to wear. No one wants to see some bball player showing more skin than paris hilton on the red carpet! I mean this is absolutely ridiculous. what is so wrong with boxers? it's clothing! If you see the kids butt crack, i can understand getting perturbed but all this fuss and worrying over underwear?! man i think some people need to get a life! you older guys can hate it all you want but the fact remains, it's in the culture today! it will not change for a while. By the way Del, you may wanna check again; we do not live in a free country! Partly due to the fact that people like you (and people your age) feel the need to impose your beliefs on others and violate an individuals rights! Here's an idea: QUIT GOING TO THE GAMES IF IT UPSETS YOU THIS MUCH!!!!

He does have a point... Soddy did not beat Ooltewah the last few seasons.
Come on this is the first year soddy has even fielded a competitive team in maybe 3 years. This is definitely a rebuilding year.

It is long past time that you all pull your shorts up to your belt line, (that's your waist line or to put it very simply.....above your butt cheeks!) and look like gentlemen.
I don't care if you're black, white, purple or green, big city or country bumpkin. You all look goofy by trying to make your butts hang out of the top of your shorts and it's high time this trend ended.
Not to mention the fact that I don't know how any of you who do this have time to dribble, shoot, rebound or defend. You can't do it up to your potential because you're too busy fooling with the back of your britches.
Young gentlemen of the court...unite! Clean up Tennessee high school basketball! Pull up your shorts! You're mommas don't want to see you dressed like that. The men in the crowd don't want to see you like that. And I sure don't want to see it close up through my camera lense
So pull up your shorts for the good of all mankind. Besides, isn't the trend way out of date anyway?

I think some of you older folks need to take the blinders off and realize it's the 60's or the 70's or even the 80's anymore. Fashion changes. Recognize it. This kind of fashion is not gonna go away. Sorry. It's not a trend either. It's now apart of culture. It originated in the hip-hop culture, which has evolved into the pop culture we live in today. Every generation has or does something in their culture that makes the generation before them look down on them for. My advice to everyone over the age of 23, get over it.

I don't understand why Tyler is goin to UT?! I mean if I'm a high-caliber player like T-Smitty, I'm not looking at UT! I'd be looking at Kentucky, UNC, Duke, and just about any other ACC school cuz those schools get the most publicity. At UT the best he will get is a Sat. game on UPN!
I don't personally think Wright is ready for the NBA. He definitely could use some added muscle. But I do agree, if they said I would be making millions next year, you better believe I would have a pen in my hands ready to sign on that dotted line. If he did go to college he, like the birdman, needs to play for a big time bball school or in one of the conferences that gets a lot of NATIONAL exposure.

Im with you you InDepth, that surprises me. Red Bank seemed to be playing GREAT bball the last few weeks but like you said anything can happen on any given night in this district. Just wish my Soddy boys could have pulled it out against ooltewah!!

Sounds like a good game. Too bad i wasn't in town to watch it. I proably would have gotten sick at the sight of soddy letting a huge district win slip through their fingers. Oh well, maybe they will meet again in the tourney cuz we all know the 3rd times the charm.

Well now that is a shock! Anyway, last time i saw soddy playing they were getting handled by red bank. hopefully since then they have corrected a few problems and will be able to make this a great game. I think Coach Shumate will have them geared up and ready to compete! I think it'll be a good game! Less than 7 pt difference.

Like I said in my first post, I know that many people will get on here and say that the Ooltewah fans, and even those who aren't really Ooltewah fans like myself, are just making excuses about the game. If you weren't at the game then you didn't see what happend and know how the game ended.
LionHeart - I am not talking about games that you saw tht were poorly officiated, but how many games have you seen where a ref calls a foul (ona loose ball) with 1 second to go that ultimately decideds the game. You just don't see that, it is unheard of and that is why this was being made into such a big deal, no excuses just an unbelievable call. Because like Myself and everyone else has said, Ooltewah had plenty of chances before the final call to win the game.
I believe his point was that most of the ooltewah fans on here will bash someone for complaining about poor officiating (whether they won the game or not), then turn right around and do the same thing. We all know that the officiating is absolutely horrible! So when someone else says the ref's were horrible, please don't try and bash them and say they are making excuses. The reason other people don't do that to ya'll is b/c we actually understand that the officiating is terrible. But i do agree, they should not have determined the outcome.

The reason UT would go after BJ rather than clausen is b/c clausen wants no part of them after what they did to rick. It's just like with Chris Leak! I never said he wasnt being recruited. I know schools recruit more than one QB at a time. My point was that this whole "recruitment" is probably not as serious as everyone is making it out to be!
