This game should have been closer than the score indicates. The first goal by CSAS was saved by the keeper and was rolling out for a corner when a CSAS player beat the Soddy defender to the back post and put in the rebound. The second goal was a breakaway in result of a breakdown in the defense in which a CSAS player blasted a shot from about the pk spot and there was nothing the keeper could do. The third goal was another shot from inside the 18 in which a player got by the Soddy defense and ripped a shot the keeper layed out and get tips on the ball but it rolled in for the third goal. The first half was really a let down for the trojans but they picked it up in the second half and played much better.Soddy-Daisy is a much better team than this score shows.The defense will only continue to get better and im anxious to see the outcome of the CCS game on thursday.

R.O.B Father Ryan scrimmaged Soddy-Daisy a few weeks ago and only beat then 1-0. Soddy is not a bad team but they are a significantly young team. Not taking anything away from Father Ryan but i think they have some work to do to win state.

Soddy looks like a good team right now. They just need to get over that hump and score their first goal,after that happens i think they will begin to steam roll into a great team. They lost the other night 1-0 to Warren county who is much improved from last year. The one goal of the game came with quite a few subs in. That seems to be Soddy's only problem this year so far is the fact they dont have a lot of depth. But over all right now they look as though the are getting a little stronger in every scrimmage, i am anxious for the season opener.We scrimmage at Notre Dame next thursday Mar. 9th we should get a good look at how things are gonna be then.Again good luck to all region 3 teams this year lets bring the state championship back home.

Soddy-Daisy had a scrimmage againts Father Ryan on Saturday Feb 25.Both teams played well. Father Ryan came out on top 1-0. But how will Soddy's season go this year.Is everyone sold on the fact that they lost so many seniors or is anyone gonna give them a chance? I personally believe this could be a very surprising season for Soddy.If things go like they did yesterday with a few things going their way i believe it may be a surprise for the better. What does everyone else think. Good luck to all region 3 teams. Looking forward to a great season.

If i were you i woudnt count out Soddy Daisy just yet. They scrimmaged father ryan and lost a well played game by both teams 1-0, and everyone knows Father Ryan is a state contender every year in D2. YEs Soddy lost a lot but did have quite a bit of depth from the year before but the kids didnt play as much as they would have liked due to so many seniors. However the attitude this year is a much better one than last years. Coach Drummond is really enforcing discipline this year. There is also more guys excited to be playing varsity soccer and are not just going through the motions. The team concept is definately a part of Soddy Daisy soccer this year. All im saying is i wouldnt count Soddy out of the mix for district or region just yet. Just a little food for thought.

Derek Rende locked down Olgesby at Soddy. He scored one point... 1! ....All he did was jack threes.. it was a joke...he just kept shooting and missing..he was the reason they lost the game.

LOL i think he is just implying that he is glad their basketball team isn't as bad as their english classes seem to be.

As a soddy guy im pulling for the region 2-5a team and i honestly believe they have the team to do it this year,and i hope it happens that way.Riverdale has to go to the the ship and i think that will make all the difference.Oak Ridge wins a close one. Cats 24 Warriors 21 Roll Wildcats Roll Didnt think i would ever be sayin that.
