The problem with Rockwood last year in the Region was the floor. The night of the championship it became a skating rink. They had to mop the floor everytime the ball was on the opposite end. Midway year before was pretty tight. Especially when you get fans of opposing teams on the same side. Never been to Greenback, but I guess I'll see this year. Hope there are good places for me to stand at the ends of the court so I can take pictures.

I have put up photos for the girls and boys games. If I have mis-identified any Warriors, I apologize. Chris Novicoff is identified as number 44 on the roster page, but the person I thought was him wore 35 last night. Also, the girls roster for CAK wasn't available on coacht. I know Rachel Berbe from volleyball.

It was certainly a great game. The Lady Eagles came out strong early and had quite a lead, but Cloudland closed in the second quarter. The two changed leads several times in the last quarter, neither one getting more than a point or two ahead. The last thirty seconds, there was a mad scramble for the ball. It was on the floor and everyone was fighting over it, but the Lady Eagles came up with it at the buzzer. I was proud of the Eagles. They played as a team and gave full effort the whole time. Also, everyone got some playing time, which is great for the younger players. We've got a tough schedule, so I hope they can keep up the momentum, but we also seem to have a deeper bench than last year.

Congrats to the Lady Eagles for this win. I was excited to see hustle from several players throughout the game. It came down to a very exciting last minute scramble, but Cosby's defense held Cloudland. Congrats again!

There are 500 tickets at Cosby that will go on sale tomorrow morning. Unsold tickets from both sides will be sold at the door, as someone else has already mentioned.

Obviously I was aiming for Cosby players, so there probably weren't many good pictures of Rockwood players, and I definetly don't know how to identify them, but I'm glad you enjoy them. Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years. In fact, until I decided to go into teaching, I considered photojournalism as a career. No, I don't work for the local paper, though I do write up volleyball stories during our season. I may do a few softball stories, but I don't get paid for them. I do it to promote the school. I tried to talk to sports editor into hiring me part time, but I don't think he has room on the staff. I do sponsor the school newspaper, and use the pictures there, plus post them here and on our school's website http://www.cocke.k12.tn.us/EaglesNest (but it's not been updated since the middle of last week since I can't do it from home).
