Last year's game was 42-3 Forrest. 

 

At the jamboree this year, Huntland got a nice little drive going, but Forrest stuffed them. Forrest then scored a TD, so the net after 1 Q was 7-0 Forrest. 

 

Has Huntland played anyone with a defense? Before you say Eagleville, I believe Forrest could have named their score, but settled for a 21-7 win where Eagleville NEVER threatened.

 

Forrest couldn't name their score tonight, they couldn't even name their own coaches after the way Huntland tore their mouth out!

I believe the girls from Lynchburg have heard enough of how under-rated they are from the Huntland

Hornet faithful. I expect a big game from all the girls and a 20 point victory is not out of the question tonight!

Gosh I hope the MC girls go into that game thinking that they are going to win by 20. Also, I am pretty sure the student section is chanting over-rated.

The officials were from yalls association. I knew someone would get on here and cry about the way the game was called. We didnt have our best player for this game and no one from huntland used that as excuse. It would have helped if you had quit fouling. It was a good game to watch and the best TEAM won.

No doubt Rebelboy. Huntland had one of their starters on the bench. That says ALOT about the Huntland Hornets and EVEN MORE ABOUT White House Heritage. Big game next Huntland. Let's go boys!! Come together and do what everyone thinks you can't. GO HORNETS!!!!!

Gotta agree...Rachel Garland played great...it just wasn't Forrest's night. Hopefully, they will get to play again a few more times. The refs were just plain terrible. Since when do refs stop play for an injury...haven't seen that happen all year...and at such a pivotal time..maybe they need to add a few more refs to the game so they don't have to run so much! Maybe that would help! Go Lady Rockets!

No doubt I have seen players bleeding on the court and play continues until either bench calls a timeout. This referee called a refs timeout when both teams had their hands on the ball then gives posession to MC. I do like the fact that those refs could actually run and keep up with the game though.

Congrats to Moore County for the win. Their girls did play some good defense......but the referees absolutely stunk up the place last night as well. Hate to see Forrest lose like that. At one point the fouls were Forrest 10 MC 2? Worst crew that has been part of this tournament yet. Good game to watch though.

The big bad forrest did get beat last night. It happens. They were also without their second leading scorer Corey Bishop due to the flu. Not to take anything away from Huntland they earned it, but we were down a man. I'm glad you get to ruffle your feathers but the boys from Forrest played hard and didn't quit and that is the heart of a true champion. The road gets harder but we will deal with it. Vandychris good luck and I hope your boys do play good in the tournament and if you have nothing good to say then don't say anything. Good luck Rockets, hold your heads up and you got to have this next one.

I didnt mean to get anything started. Forrest has an outstanding team, coach, fans and played it close without their #2 scorer. Which says alot. Haven't Summertown play, so no comments there. I will say this...records, rankings, opinions and thoughts can be discarded and thrown away now that the tournaments have started. Go Hornets & District 9A!!!!

Huntland came together and showed what they are capable of last night. Great win!! Who will be coming out of Dist 10A to play in regionals? Does anyone know where to find a region 10A tournament bracket for both boys and grils? Looked around but I could not find any. Thanks.

I don't see any team "running away with it". The District is very competitive this year and any team has a chance against any other team, especially 1-5 seeds. Any one of those teams could win the tournament.

Montoye just has not gotten the job done. The program is a joke to the rest of the region. I was around a few players from another team not too long ago. I was amazed at how they mocked and ridiculed Moore County's football program. Laughing at how much the team stunk. Moore County was "THE TEAM" when McCurry was at the helm and every school knew it. You could see it in their eyes when we took the field. They knew that they were in for an ###### KICKING everytime they played Moore County. The Raider nation made a mistake when it let McCurry / Moffett go. They have had to live with their mistake for a few years now, and see what it is actually like to get the brakes beat off of them. It would be a fine day for all Moore County if Coach McCurry returns!! INSTANT RETURN TO THE TOP!!!!!

I hope Huntland beats them by 50. Then maybe Moore County will listen to some of the players that have quit and find a coach that can actually coach.

Huntland has steadily improved over the last few years. If they believe it they can achieve it. It wouldn't be surprised if they pulled this one out.

AMEN Orange! I second that. The coach that they had was one of the best men and coaches that they EVER had there. I would know, I played my butt off for him. I hope they go winless allyear, then that might teach the people back home something about respect and loyalty. This will be the second good coach they have ran off. People thought these past two years have been bad, let's see what the future holds for them now.

I have read on some of the posts here, that Coach Moffet is leaving Marshall County. If this is true, and if he wants to, and Coach Price would like to welcome him back it would be a HUGE adiition to Moore County. The school might want to check on this. His knowledge of the game would be a real asset to the program!

If I know you so well then tell me your name. This thread isn't about how good I was or you were. It isn't about making plays (which by the way there was no touchdown pass at Lake County that I dropped.) Does it really matter that you are on the wall of fame? I know people that are not up there that went and played college ball, and some that are up there didn't do jack. Sound familiar? So what does that wall really mean? It obviously doesn't reflect all the good players that came out of the program. The thing that I do know is that Coach Price is one heck of a coach, he inspired alot of kids that played under him in Junior high. It is just crazy for someone to be from Moore County to sit here on these threads and bash Coach Price. That is not how I was raised. You encourage, help and most of all stand up for the people that you know and are close with. I believe that is why Moore County teams have been very successful over the years, because we stand up for one another. It seems that way is slowly dying and so too is the tradition.

Burley, who are you? Are you really serious? One good back and one good lineman? Get real! The years I played we were loaded with talent. Every year we had awesome line and the the skill positon players were good. There is no way you can sit there and say that we usually have one good lineman and one good back. My junior and senior year alone we had at least 4-5 good backs and our whole line could have been all-region at least. You just run off at the mouth. You are upset because you say coach Price didn't help you. It sounds to me you are always making excuses, (I wish I had my degree so I could coach , Coach Price didn't help me go anywhere) this world is not going to give you jack, you have to take it, or in your case, be left out.

If what I hear is true (about coach Price resigning) I am sure it because of all the BS the parents are saying. Coach Price is one heck of a coach and even better man. You would be hard pressed to find a better of a man.You people here are so hypocritical it is pathetic. You have a great great man a the helm of the program and all you want to do is whine and moan about not winning. Let me remind you guys that Coach McCurry didn't win a championship here either, and here's another little secret Coach Mac had one heck of a defense coordinator that would break a team completely down before we played them. I am not knocking Coach McCurry he was a heck of a coach but Coach Moffet was a big part of our success and worked just as hard on the other side of the ball. It would be completely overwhelming for one coach to do offense and defense. It is the defense that wins the game if you haven't learned that by now. Another thing, the talent level is down. If you can't see that you are blind or have blinders on. Ask any of the x-players, or maybe they just don't want to win as bad as we used to. I'm not talking about being upset over losing, I'm talking about feeling as if your mother was killed and someone spit in your face feelings if we lost. I don't know if these boys are like that anymore? Have you people ever stopped to think that maybe it is not Coach Price that is too blame? There are a few more coaches on the team than just him. BIGGER PICTURE FOLKS. It really doesn't matter because the next coach that comes in here and does not do what the townspeople want then they too will be run out of town. Folks you need to wake up and smell the roses, this will be the SECOND great coach you lose because you all think that you can do it better. I guess that is why you all are coaches? So go ahead run Coach Price out, there are schools all over the state that would dream of having the last 2 coaches you people have ran off.
