I wouldn't dog volleyball. Y'all may have a chance in that sport.

Last time I checked, Moore Co still has a double digit lead in the all time series. Y'all really shouldn't schedule MC. You have nothing to gain as a 2A school. However I like continuing the old rivalries I recall from the 90s so I hope the series continues win or lose.

It wasn't a rivalry in the 90's.....we dominated Craple Hill....lol.

If they are cheating, like everyone’s says they are then they will be shut down and disgraced just like Tennessee Temple was. If I understand correctly, they use the same exact school, so no shame in their game I guess. It’s amazing how some people will cheat lie and steal to gain a gold ornament. I guess if they can sleep at night so can I. At the end of the day cheating gains you nothing, teaches nothing and only creates animosity and animus from others.

City is no different. Lol. Recruiting kids from every school in their. district, getting AAU coaches to pay rent for families to transfer to City, bringing in illegal kids from Alabama. You have a case of selective memory it seems. Didn't City get punished by TSSAA a couple years ago for playing an illegal player in football????

  3. This is the same coach that scheduled Coffee County to play in 1A preseason tourneys then party in the lobby after they beat the 1A teams. Lol. Good coaches don't trophy hunt, they prepare by playing better teams. The most talented team in the state in their classification and nothing to show for it.......

  4. Reed deserves a chance to see what he can do with a program that has been held hostage for a quarter of a century. There's more to be consider here though. Franklin County will not make or move a teacher to help improve Huntland football. Reed will be hamstrung with his predecessors choices for coaches because FC BOE will not allow him to bring in his ideal staff. It's a tough spot with limited options. He has the passion and energy, something the previous HC never had.

City has plenty of vocational education opportunities and has since the day it opened. Sounds like you regurgitate garbage the falcon club says. Kids aren’t missing out on any opportunities at city educationally, athletically, socially, vocationally , or otherwise.

Vocational jobs are paying far more than degree jobs now anyway. Degrees are a dime a dozen now but a PLC Programmer is highly sought after and EXTREMELY well paid. I know cats making 3x the salary of degree toting teachers........

You a total City Homer. . Be honest with yourself for one second. This had absolutely Nothing to do with Education. You’re pissing in the wind brother if you think for one second that City HS has more kids making a 28 or above on the ACT. . Have they had any? I doubt it. How many have received an appointment to the Air Force Academy? I can name 2 in the last 3 years. Education was the argument to sell this split but the City doesn’t even come close to the curriculum, facilities, faculty, or resources of LCHS. Period. You’re competing with Moore Co and I’m not real sure that you’ve achieved their level yet. It is what it is. You got what you wanted. This argument is a dead end. I’d NEVER recommend that a kid choose an education at City over LCHS. You want to see a City system that Actually does provide a better educational opportunity look up Tullahoma. Btw they CHARGE county kids to come there to make it up to the city taxpayers in Coffee Co to the tune of 1800$ per student. If and when City becomes the go to school for the most gifted kids and parents have the resources to repay the City then you will obviously be offering a better educational opportunity. Right now you’re taking anyone and everyone countywide for the numbers and the state money that follows with the tax payers taking up the slack. To all Lincoln Co Kids who are entering HS and want the Best Educational Opportunity do yourself a Favor and go to LCHS. You put in the work there and follow their AP Honors programs and Classes with Motlow Credits then you’ll be completely prepared to be successful in any college or degree you want to pursue.

I'd send my kid to City before LC any day of the week. LC been a racist redneck school for as long as I can remember. Lol. Smfh.

Wow what a sad copout. Yes imply racism on the refs because you have an undisciplined bunch.

I don't have a kid on either team. I don't even have a kid that attends either school but I do know the area and know what some of these refs are......Truth stings at times, I understand

  8. I think City wins by 2 tds.

I think MC is riding on a false high right now, meaning their opponents skill sets, up to this point in the season, severely pale in comparison to City. Especially in the trenches. I'd like to see my Raiders pull it out and Coach White is a great coach that has brought life back to MC but my gut says City is just a different beast. Hoping MC shocks the hill tomorrow night. It won't be an easy task however.

The sad thing is Huntland has had some good teams over that time span that could’ve made another run to at least the semifinals. The problem is their coach refuses to evolve the offense calling 60 running plays a game. When defenses know it’s a handoff, toss or sweep then it’s not too difficult to

I don't believe it's play calling that's the root of the problem at huntland. The problem is program management & culture development. The HC has had 25 years to develop a brand, a signature of excellence, an iron fist of identity.

  10. The only 1A program in our area that has not made the state title game in the last 30 years is Huntland. Cornersville, Fayetteville City, Moore County have all been to the state title game in the past 30 years. The only thing worse than having habitual mediocre seasons is a community that's been conditioned to believe & accept that their players / kids aren't good enough to win big......
