Thanks for the post. I hope we have time to get it to our our sped guys. They are fast and could care less the exact # just know they are faster than normal. This has the making of a great game. We know they are going to run it and they do that well. I think our line backers will have to have a great game. Im not really worried about our offense i think we will be able to move the ball on the ground and through the air. Again i will say this. This is by far the best team that has loaded up and headed to the stable out of Moore Co.

Lol. Smh. I disagree at this point. If they keep winning they may claim that title as best ever but they are flawed on the OL & DL. May be the best collection of skill players though.

AND they DO NOT have 7 players that run a 4.4. Fast? Definately but not 4.4.

Please stop giving Huntingdon bulletin board material. You are hurting MC more than you realize.

KJ Jackson looks like he is coming into his own as a freshman. Dynamic athlete for sure. How did City only beat Huntland by a score when the Hornets played without Stewart for most the game? That is shocking. If I remember correctly Huntland lost it's top 2 backs against City last season and lost a close game. This one seems like it is starting to become a rivalry

KJ is a beast. Always has been. Kid is an excellent basketball and baseball player too. Isiah Thomison is another really excellent weapon that is rarely used on the offensive side for City. I dont think City is hands down better than Huntland or MC. If MC would have sat the Defensive End that was getting dominated earlier in the game vs City, they would have won that game and if Stewart played the entire game vs City who knows what would have happened.

Like you said. You never know.Union City was in Single A.Lake co could say the same.Had Union City not been Single A,could had more probably.Plus take into fact Lake Co had a couple seasons with 2 or 3 losses, only to have star recruited to Dyer Co and Dyersburg. The team with Brandon Springer ,Sep Valentine ,lost on a last second play with a team facing a 4th and about 12 and behind by about 5 points.Defender went for the ball to intercept, instead of making the tackle to win the game. That team went on to pummel Mt .Pleasant and won the state. And the best player to probably ever play at Lake Co was playing for Dyer co,Andre Flowers.Hes has all the Dyer Co rushing records. So it's not like Lake Co has really been down  those years. But 3 state championships, about 4 state runnerups, not too bad for a small rural true Single A team.

Shhhh.Shhhhh. Jewel Flowers was the best.

I don’t know. Stewart had success the few times he got to carry it against City before he got hurt. I think if he has success early, they will give it to him until City figures out how to stop it.

That's true, I think City will stack the box to try and stop him. Stewart is one tough young man and I'm sure he will be ready. Coach Reed will keep the defense guessing. I think there will be a few opportunities for big plays.

I expect this game to be very physical and close. City has improved since the first game. Stewart is back for Huntland. I’m sure they will give Stewart the ball 30 times and mix in Johnson. City will have to protect the ball and cut down penalties.

Huntland will have to put it in the air to win this game in my opinion. They can not be a 1 dimensional squad this Friday night.

The same could be said about you guys. You only managed to beat Cornersville by 10 in a game they felt they were still in for most of the game.

We beat them by 40 in a game they were out of in the first quarter.

Those scores mean nothing in reality, though. Playoffs are a new season and teams who have been here before are playing with a new perspective.

That's my point. Lol. It's weird how the scoring differential is so skewed between the two regions vs similiar opponents. That's all I'm saying.

Imo Huntingdon will win this game do to the offensive and defensive lines. At the end of the day line play usually wins games. Coach Swenson and the stangs have played in alot of big games over the last 4 years and that also could make a difference. Moore County needs to jump on the stangs quick and make them play from behind. No 1A team is as good as the teams last year. I look for the stangs to control the clock and keep Moore County offense off the field enough to pull it out.

South Pitt will beg to differ. They are absolutely loaded this year.

MC did struggle with Huntlands ball control, clock grinder style offense but not many teams have Kolbi Stewart in their backfield that can last 4 qtrs and tote the rock 40 times.......

I have a lot of respect for Cornersville. They were a tough bunch that never quit. But we completely dominated both lines of scrimmage and could have scored more points than we did against the corn dogs. Clock ran most of second half with our JV's seeing most of the action. How did you guys give up 21 points and just beat the dogs by 10?

That's what I find interesting from both sides. Corn dogs did have good players out with injuries last night I believe.

The first half of the season the Mustangs were trying to run a wing T offense. We just don't have the speed to run it. Never looked smooth. We reverted back to the single wing which we run as good as anybody and it's made a world of difference. Also we played Wayne Co and Bruceton on the road.

Still, Wayne County was not a sound team. Road game or not, single wing or not. Yes, the Mustangs do run a potent single wing game.

  10. What I find interesting is the scoring differential. Huntingdon vs Bruceton & Wayne County were relatively close compared to last night when City and MC faced them. Huntingdon blew out Corntown but MC & City had a tougher time with Corntown. I believe it's due to inter regional coaches knowing each others situational tendancies. Coaching staff film study and preparation usually determines the outcome when 2 teams are comparable in talent. I love h.s. playoff football.
