  1. Yes the score looked like the Admirals did every single thing but there are many places to improve....Craig Cobb threw alright but he will only get better.
  2. as far as I have heard they will not be playing.
  3. It took Farragut their last at bat, and a walk-off homerun, to win against Central in the ETBCA play day on Saturday. So tonights game should be a good one. Farragut plays Central tongiht, Karns tuesday and Bearden Friday.
  4. Yes, if there is any way you can make it to todays game at Farragut High, when they host Central @ 5 p.m. Judging by the East TN play day at Oak Ridge on Saturday it should be a very good game. That deceiving part might be that Central will be without Zach Bowman, who went 3 for 3 against the Admirals(1B, 2B, and HR). But it should be a good game, I'm excited about the season starting
  5. Yeah not any way was i trying to down play tony....he is good thats what i am trying to say...and Hiawassee knows what he is talking about so that why like it when he posts b/c there is obviously an greater knowledge there....and expect tony to be staying at SS for at least next couple of weeks b/c he is playing good right now. he is a joy to watch
  6. foultip, When does rossview play V. Hills from Alabama, and where will this game will be playing.
  7. Thats correct. Farragut does have many players on their bench that would start at any other school....but Coach Pharr does a good job of getting everybody experience and giving players numerous chances to make and impact and earn that starting spot. With Farragut being injury plagued lately it is good that they have that depth.
  8. alright if you look at one of the first post that has a list of catchers.....then you go to the top catchers in the state by the Coaches Association website you will see Harrel,Edmonds,Weddle, and Mckenry. Well this summer I had the priveledge of having all these great players catch me on my two different summer teams. Edmonds is great....someone who said he has a cannon was correct..he is pretty strong too so has the ability to hit with power. Drew H. from University high is great catcher to but i think he should be in the field at first-base he fields the ball real well and the amazing part he can pick any bad throw. I think the most talent from east Tn comes from Knoxville with McKenry and Weddle if you ever see these two play it wouldnt be hard to see how amazing they are...and Weddle has very surprising speed running a sub 7.0 60.
  9. ummm last year Coach Pharr gave Riley Jennings a chance about half way through the season and he ended up staying with the team all the way to the state championship game in which he started. Michael McKenry we all know by now as being a top player in the state, got a chance middle way through spring and his second game started was against William Blount at W.B. which isnt the biggest field but that night he went 2 for 4 with 2 HRs that performance locked up his spot pretty much the rest of that year and he sure did take off.....so He obviously knows who has it as a freshman and who deserves the chance.... and Tony Delmonico starting right now is right choice in my opinion...it will be interesting to see what happens when Jennings gets better and to see who is hitting the ball the best out of the many infielders the Admirals have. But thanks for clarifying that for me Hiawassee.
  10. Well best short stops in east tn....brad isom of farragut as of right now moved to second so he is out of the picture though he is good. but Ryan Gandy of Knox-Catholic is real good just look at the numbers from last year, he hit around .500 and there has been talks of him going to Alabama. Wes Hodges is amazing but thats more closer to middle Tn so we will go to upper east Tn to D.B., the home of "Sweet" Lew Henry he is a solid fielder, going to get stronger at the plate....and gosh dangit he is an all around great guy
  11. I was picked up to play for the summer team he plays on during the World Series in Orlando this summer and got to see him pitch 3 times over the 9 days....he is a very quality pitcher. He gets great movement on his fastball
  12. Hiawassee, I was on as Enape8 that made the T. Delmonico....what do you mean is a rare freshman to start for Farragut. and by the way you seem to know your stuff whats your association with high school baseball? you are one of few people who make post which i can actually read without laughing
  13. Craig Cobb for Farragut has proven himself....ask anybody who has faced him in the past two years... he is solid...his ability to locate three pitches and his ability to compete makes him as good as he is. Some have brought up Zach Bowman on here, well this weekend the 6th of march at the east tennessee play day, we will get the chance to see Cobb's Admirals a better hitting team face the Bowman's Cats who has the hardest thrower.
  14. Farragut High School can not be overlooked.....it will be good to see that they get to play some of these top teams from the 3AAA to D2 across the state early and middle of the season in tournametns it will really test them but they should be solid as they are every year and make a return trip to the state tourney
  15. Coach Pharr from Farragut High School............just look what he has done.....be it the development of the field into an amazing facility...to the development of players into a baseball powerhouse...he has won the district every year he has been at farragut and the region many sub state appearences and 3 state appearances
  16. Brad Isom has moved to 2B for the Farragut Admirals.....he has a great glove, makes the hard plays look routine and hits the ball real well from the left side. He ranks in the top 10 in IFs in the State from the Coaches Association.....I think it is hard to match his ability...the only other person that comes to mind is Michael Courtney from Knox-West.
