  1. Anne Marie got her 1000th point last night against Cookeville. That is a huge accomplishment and I am very proud of her. 1000 before her sophomore year is up, impressive huh? They will be announcing it at the home game this Friday night. Congrats to the whole team for beating Cookeville for a big district win!
  2. Ha, Yeah well i haven't the slightest clue who you are, and no i am not playing in college, long story, but if i could give anyone advice it would be "if you love it, dont give it up". Um, yeah i was alright at Buchanan, i played in high school too if you weren't aware so why continue to refer to Buchanan, oh yeah, and no i would not hurt you what makes you think i would hurt you?
  3. Buick and Oakland, Buick, you were not at the game so you do not know that Anne Marie is a "rough" player or not. And Oakland, you need to stop and think about some of the comments you make before you make them. Ree is not even a comparison to Nikki Hughes. I played with Nikki and I played with Ree and they have no similarities in the way they play. Anne Marie is an agressive player and not a "rough" player as you put it. She did fall a lot, but I have been to almost EVERY game this year and this was the first game that she has even hit the floor. After you said that about Ree, I wanted to make sure you and I were watching the same game so I went back and watched the film. Yes, Ree fell a lot, but she was gettin the crap beat out of her. The Oakland players were not doing it on purpose, but they were being just as agressive as Ree was. That was an intense game(intense because of the rivalry, not because it was close) and there are a lot of emotions going on in a game like that between both teams. Also, Ree got elbowed in the face, but I know that it was not on purpose both teams were just being agressive. Her eye is now black and she has a huge knot on her cheekbone she also has a bruse on her "tail" and her ankle is bothering her, to me it sounds like Ree was the one that came out with injuries and i dont recall any of the Oakland girls needing to be taken out because someone from RHS was being "too agressive" and caused an injury to them. Maybe, you should get your facts straight before you go posting comments like that on here. And to you five I have no idea where you got the idea that Ree's name is fish, I have never heard it and I have asked around and you are actually the first to ever mention it. I would like to know where you got that from. Yall should go to more then one game before you judge whether a player is too dramatic or whether she is too "rough". All of yall know Ree is one heck of a player and I have no idea what possessed yall to get on here and talk "bad" about her. This thread was not created for that purpose and you should start your own for any "trash" talk you want to do. Maybe you should call it "Anne Marie Lanning... she's real good, but we want to point out ALL her flaws to you because that is what we as humans do!" sounds like a good name to me. Siegel Senior... do i know you? Note: I am sorry it seems I got soo offensive about this, but would you not feel the same if someone said that about your sibling on a thread that you started just so people would take the chance to watch her when they could.
  4. RHS plays OHS tonight, come out and see one of the biggest rivalries in the state! ~~*~~(@ RHS)~~*~~
  5. EXACTLY! the comment above sums the entire situation up!
  6. That was an awesome "quote" and it sums Ree up in just a few short sentences! Maybe not this year, but def the next...!
  7. To you tidehasturned and Lynchmob... i thank yall a whole bunch for your support...like you both said you have seen Ree play and you know that i am not being bias when it comes to this topic... she is one heck of a player! thanks again!
  8. JIMMY, I dont know how many times I have to say this, but it doesn't really matter whether it is a family member or a friend or a complete stranger that is bragging about a player. The point is that if what is said is true, it shouldn't matter. Ree is a heck of a player and yes I am her sister, but i certainly have a right to get on here and talk about a good player, whether we are sisters or not.
  9. No offense... but they don't compare to Ree as athletes or basketball player... they are both good, but not to Ree's level yet! And yes they do have something to prove... i am sure they can! Especially this year... maybe they will prove me wrong?
  10. They are good players... they made a name for themselves last year though... as freshmen!
  11. Heck yeah...cherrygurl!
  12. I agree with the fact that the talent in AA and AAA for each individual girl can not really be compared for the fact taht there are AA teams better then AAA teams... LCHS was a prime example. Gassey for Wilson Central is also a good one to watch...
  13. Thank you 5A Football Fan!
  14. Oakland, I did not start this post to say that Riverdale was going to be any good, I simply started it to let people know that Ree was good. And to you, SPORTZTER1, yes, I am her sister, and yes I did start a thread about my own sister, but that is way besides the point. I am trying not to be bias (sp?). Do you think an older sister likes to admit that her younger sister is a stud in the sport that she used to play, or better yet do you think the older wants to admit the younger is better then she was. Me being her sister has nothing to do with why i started this thread, i just wanted people to get the chance to watch a real good basketball player (fun to watch at that). And, Jana is also a fun to watch player. I have played against her so I do know that she is a very good player, as a matter of fact Ree and Jana played AAU together so i know Jana better then you think. My intentions of this thread was not so yall could get on and bash RHS or say that I am wrong in posting about my sister, it was to let people know that they should see her play, I also intended for others to get on here and give some other players that i and others should see play. Maybe i should change the name of the thread?! "fun to watch": (sound like a good new name)? Taylor Oliver is also fun to watch!
