  1. I've got the catchin ability...but yes, since i moved from defense to offensive line, my work ethic has gone down some...oops...but i've only gained 20 since i moved last fall...go owls
  2. well, i was 70 lbs lighter back in the day...that's what happens when you play college ball, though...they pack on those pounds
  3. soddy...they always take it in the END...
  4. mnewballer and me have discussed this...my legacy at Ooltewah is over...hardly anyone remembers the best looking guy from the class of 2002...
  5. Now ya'll hear this...I never claimed to be a dancer trained at the New York School of Dance...all I did was let the lockerroom music move my soul...and besides, what do you expect from a skinny 6'6" white boy from Ooltewah? that's what I thought...but anyways, those good ole days are gone guys...now I'm a fat 6'6" white man from Ooltewah that still can't dance, but I do have plenty of moves...mnewballer can give you some insight...Sup Ladies?...but as for not giving heritage respect? I'll give them plenty of respect when they can win against the owls...until that time comes, no respect will be paid til it is earned...and that corner that was a sophomore when the owls made the run to the semis, wasn't he on ESPN...for getting stiff armed by Gerald Riggs? haha...thought so...but really, I'm gonna stick to my call of 48-7, cause dewayne didn't get much chance to run last week against bradley since he only played a little over a quarter, so i expect gatewood to let him loose on the mountaineers...owls defense is gonna step up big time this week, too...maybe we'll see some defensive points on the board
  6. I remember the Ooltewah/Heritage game from 2001...it was Ooltewah's Homecoming and that big stud defensive end #76, I don't recall his name (I think he's at Carson-Newman playing), well he recovered a fumble and ran it in for a touchdown...what a play...48-7 was the final in that game, and this year should be just a big of a whooping...I'm gonna guess 49-7 Ooltewah
  7. 1. Quarterback - Duh 2. Middle Linebacker - Check run, cover on pass, hard nosed leader of defense 3. Running Back - gets ball and must run behind high school lines 4. Defensive End - Contain, Dive, gets pulled on a lot 5. Outside Linebackers - check run, cover on pass, sweeps, blitzes 6. Corners - one on one coverage, no outside help, sweeps 7. Center - Fumble chance, loss of ladies due to obesity 8. Tightend - Block/Recieve and have psychological effects from this split personality 9. Guard - Pull, deal with the D-Line, loss of ladies due to obesity 10. Tackle - deal with blitzing OLBs, loss of ladies due to obesity 11. D- Tackles - deal with double teams from C and G all game 12. Safety - follows ball, dive stop, deep/short coverage, has help 13. Recievers - all they do is bicep curls 14. Kickers/Punters - transformed soccer players
  8. Oh, I've been around...waiting to make the best posts ever on coacht.com...but mainly busy playin ball and chillin up here at the CNC
  9. I live in Jefferson County, which is right outside of Knox County. While our scores do get reported in the Knoxville News Sentinel, they are pretty much little blips, because all the high schools in Knoxville get most of the coverage. Jefferson City, not even 25 minutes from downtown Knoxville, has its own paper with incredible coverage of Jefferson Co. Athletics and everything else that happens here, like hog callin contests and cow chip toss results...But the Standard Banner reports it and we have no complaints when the big city paper leaves us out...Knoxville paper should report Knoxville news, like UT football and Farragut, Halls, and Bearden...
  10. Anyone with old Ooltewah basketball paraphenalia needs to donate it to the Old Skool Ballaz...I just had the idea because I have an awesome silver warm-up top from the late 80's/early 90's with the really wide, stretchy sleeves and the V'neck...This one is up for grabs to borrow for this season and I might possibly give it to one lucky Balla...anyone else with old Ooltewah stuff, COUGH IT UP! Go Owls and I'm lookin forward to a great season...EagleDT AKA "The Greatest Bench Warmer in Ooltewah Basketball History"
  11. look for many appearances from EAGLEDT at ooltewah games this season after attending 0 games last year...Lets see some wins for a change and hopefully a better than .500 finish...hopefully .750...lets go Owls!
  12. dang...if the game were at south doyle, i'd have to go check it out...oh well...check ya later
  13. with ooltewah's loss of mighty senior post player Jonathan Mason, they could be hurting...a new coach and a fresh new gym should get the rest of the team pumped, though...I predict the owls to go through region to state this year if they can click...
  14. Ray is doing good. He's had a lot of touches this year and is one of the top 3 backs for us, which means he gets a lot of playing time and starts most games. He is gettin big, but that's what they do to us up here at the Newman...and Jonathan Mason is a stud, just not as big as you say grad...6'6"/270lbs
