If you strike it on purpose, without attempting to block the shot, and it interferes with the ball going in ... basket counts + "T". If you strike it while attempting to block a shot and it interferes with ball going in, basket counts ... other team has ball.
GovMan.....can you give a rule reference to back this up ?

The Shelbyville mens team (2nd in the state last year) had two guys playing for them (Stewart and Twilley) that were not on the radar until their high school senior year. I don't know if they played AAU ball or not but I know it was their high school season that sealed the deal....not AAU. I have also noticed that teams that go deep into the tournaments get extra exposure and extra looks from college recruiters.
In no way am I saying AAU is not front and center for exposure to kids. But I am saying it is possible not to be an AAU 'stud' and still get looks during the high school season.

Maybe they ought to let high schools choose if they want to use the shot clock on their home court or if they want to be in a league using a shot clock or not?
Phill, they already do this today. The TSSAA is made up of a board of directors and guess who they are....... you guessed it....The High Schools themselves...it is a self governing body. They (the Schools) could choose to put in a shot clock if they so choose but they have chosen not to.
Your points about equality, etc; lack merit. If the HS Mens game ever gets a shot clock...so will the women.
Just leave it alone. Don't ruin a perfectly good game.

If I am not mistaken.... a study was done a few years ago and the average possession in a girls HS basketball game was around 20-25 seconds. Why put in a shot clock if MOST teams are already putting it up within 30 seconds? Leave the HS game alone.

Very well put Congressman ... I mean Senator

Several kids from Station Camp were high risers. One kid had a tremendous dunk on a put back. SC is a team I see making a run in the post season. I was impressed with their coach as well.

Congrats to the Warriors for a nice holiday run.

Great post ptguard. Clarkrange vs RBS this year may be an ESPN Classic.

This was an excellent tournament. Teams were very balanced and the hospitality shown by the host (Macon Co.) was really good.

Hogeye is a Livingston Chant if I am not mistaken.
