  1. I thought the new rule did not allow more than two games on a school night ?
  2. Isn't working the refs trying to get a ref to cheat for your team ?
  3. What about Upchurch from Clarkrange? Kid has got some skills
  4. GovMan.....can you give a rule reference to back this up ?
  5. The Red Devils from Jo Byrns
  6. Call in the fire department.....Clarkrange will be on fire tonight !
  7. Three kids from Station Camp have mad HOPS JJ Taylor from Sparta can rip one off on you too !
  8. The Shelbyville mens team (2nd in the state last year) had two guys playing for them (Stewart and Twilley) that were not on the radar until their high school senior year. I don't know if they played AAU ball or not but I know it was their high school season that sealed the deal....not AAU. I have also noticed that teams that go deep into the tournaments get extra exposure and extra looks from college recruiters. In no way am I saying AAU is not front and center for exposure to kids. But I am saying it is possible not to be an AAU 'stud' and still get looks during the high school season.
  9. Phill, they already do this today. The TSSAA is made up of a board of directors and guess who they are....... you guessed it....The High Schools themselves...it is a self governing body. They (the Schools) could choose to put in a shot clock if they so choose but they have chosen not to. Your points about equality, etc; lack merit. If the HS Mens game ever gets a shot clock...so will the women. Just leave it alone. Don't ruin a perfectly good game.
