  1. Here would be my choices for 11-AAA Honors: Player of the Year-Tyler Ogilvie, Brentwood Offensive Player of the Year-Bryan Lowder, Brentwood Defensive Player of the Year-Patrick Lazear, Centennial Coach of the Year-Charlie West, Ravenwood All three of the above mentioned players were all-district and first team all-Williamson County last year. Look for repeats for all three among others. Charlie West did a tremendous job leading Ravenwood to second place in the district and undefeated season so far...
  2. The Tennessean was incorrect. Hendersonville won the game 1-0. Here's the URL for the story from the Clarksville newspaper: http://www.theleafchronicle.com/news/stori...rts/470560.html
  3. Centennial recovered very nicely from three losses to Brentwood last year... I think that both Brentwood and Hendersonville both had more talented teams last year. Hendersonville was undefeated going into the Centennial game and Brentwood had two losses (one to Hendersonville). I believe that both were senior-dominated teams. But, on that Saturday night, they could not win the big game against the "lesser" opponents of Centennial and Smryna. I would be very careful of overconfidence if I were coaching Brentwood and/or Hendersonville. Hopefully, last year's losses will prevent that. Maybe Hendersonville won't remember All of that said, I'm pulling for the Williamson County teams. Good Luck to the Bruins and Rebels. Memphis is an awesome trip...even if you can't bring home the final trophy.
  4. Centennial's 11-AAA All-District selections were Cal Long, Patrick Rummell, Andrew Muller and Patrick Lazear. Cal Long was named District Player of the Year.
  5. Centennial rallied from a 3-1 halftime deficit to tie the Hillsboro Burros 3-3 last night. After playing what was arguably their worst half of the season, the Cougars parlayed goals from Hayden Lamb and Patrick McFarland to secure the tie. McFarland also scored in the first half for the Cougars. Centennial finishes with a 8-4-2 regular season record with losses to BGA, Brentwood, MBA and Franklin. Seeded third in District 11-AAA with a 5-2-1 record, the Cougars will be playing the Ravenwood Raptors next Monday in the opening round of the district tournament. Centennial defeated Ravenwood earlier this season 4-0. The Centennial-Ravenwood winner is expected to play the Franklin-Hillwood winner next Wednesday night at Cheek Park in the district semi-finals. The district finals are scheduled for Thursday night at Cheek Park.
  6. The Hillwood-Centennial match is scheduled for Monday night at CHS. Kickoff time is 7:00 pm.
