  1. I was at the game when Station Camp won 1-0 against Livingston. I heard the ref that called the pk late in the game had already verbally warned Unger about diving earlier in the first half. From what I saw Unger did get pushed from the back just inside the box and lost possession of the ball. The ref didn't have a choice but to call the pk. I do know that where you are on the field makes a huge difference on your opinion of the foul. I hate games ending that way also, but it looked like LA was starting to panic 'cause SC was putting a lot of pressure on LA. LA lost the game on their own 'cause they had about 5 excellent opportunities to score but didn't. The rematch is no longer an issue since LA lost to Portland 2-0 and SC won 2-0 over DeKalb Co.
  2. Thanks for the score info. What teams are in your district? I know White County has Cookeville, Siegel and Blackman in their district. All three are excellent teams. I know that Cookeville and Siegel are usually in the list for some of the top 10 teams in the state. Lebanon and Riverdale aren't cake walks either. White County lost to Warren County 1-0, and supposedly have a great chance of beating Oakland this year, but we will see this Thursday. Again, thanks for the score with Smith County!

    Thanks for the score update!
  4. I heard that you tied White County 1-1 and Smith County also tied White County 1-1 in the Upper cumberland Classic, but White County beat Smith County when it counted in the regular season at Smith County 6-0. My friend said White County was missing four or five varsity starters during the UCC, and two of them were from their defense. Just thought I would let you know what I heard. How did your team do against Smith County in the regualr season?

What was the score in the game against Smith County? Just curious!
  6. When a team gets up to about 8-0, then thisd is the time to either work on passing and possession of the ball or something. Maybe no shots on goal without some type of restriction being applied. Put the JV in to have them work on the skills they need to be ready to take positions the next season. Oakland beat White County (boys) 22-0 about four years ago. I know the coach (Harter) for oakland said he couldn't control his players! My question is, "What type of coach can't control his players?" It sounds like the Science Hill coach doesn't know when to pull off the dogs. Any goals scored in a game like that should not even be considered toward the goals leader. The total goals scored will not matter to a team like Science Hill, because they won't be able to handle teams like Farragut, Bearden, Hendersonville, ECS, CBHS, etc. The great teams play great competition, but some teams must play within their district which means some powderpuff games. Good luck to the top teams listed above.

Warren Co. may have beat White Co., but I saw the game and White Co. just did not show up to play. They looked sluggish the entire game. They definitely did not play like they did in the Riverdale game.
  8. The keeper from White County is going to be an excellent keeper. She is only a sophomore and will only improve. Her name is Molly McFadden. She has excellent hands and can judge the ball in the air very well. This is her first year playing soccer, but I think she will be awesome the next two years. She still has some tactical aspects to get down, but overall for a first year keeper she is doing an excellent job for White County. Keep up the great work Molly, because your team loves ya a lot!!!!

White County lost to Riverdale 4 - 2, but were ahead 2 - 0 at halftime. They had a great defender go down during the game and that seemed to put the momentum into Riverdale's hands. One thing is for sure, they know they can beat some of the teams in their district now! They also played Oakland 1 - 1 at halftime, but eventually lost 4 - 1. White County is getting better year by year!
  10. Air Force Guy I like the quote you put here by Colin Powell. My grandfather was one of those men who died in France at the Battle of the Bulge trying to free the French from the grasp of Hitler. Go U.S.A. I saw Hendersonville win the state championship several years ago (1998 I think), and if they are as good as that team then they can go a long way in the state tournament, but Clarksville is a tough opponent!
