being the high scorer does not make you the team leader. Tyler was leading scorer last year also and Shay hit 3's last year but it took more than that to win the state that's all i'm saying dude.

The Giles Co. men's schedule needs some games removed. The games are Tue. Dec. 16 at Loretto and Fri. Jan. 9 Loretto. Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't know if the teams that beat them are great but Giles Co. has some problems. Last year everything went right when they needed to play a big game they did sometimes they just showed up and won. This year is going to be differant because when you loose your best rebounder and your point guard you just don't replace them overnight. That senior leadership meant alot. Tristen hit a half court shot to go to the state and Eric hit the winning shot to win the state. Tyler and Shay are good but when they needed those big shots that is not who they went to for them. Somebody will step up sooner or later and be that player maybe it will sooner. Maybe it will be Tyler or Shay?

tcross why do you think everybody is against Giles Co. you get upset everytime somebody posts something about them. Lets face it when your on top everybody wants to see you lose. So calm down its a long season and they will get better. I think everybody expected to much out of them at the start. Give Coach Holt time to work things out this is not last years team.

If Giles Co. had won that tournament it would have meant a whole lot more right krogers. Don't start blowing off loses as meaning nothing if it didn't mean nothing why go. Giles Co. will get better just give them time.

How do you put 2 games in one day on the schedule? Giles Co. plays 2 games on Friday in Huntsville Tourney.

sds2004 i'm glad you said what you did because you are RIGHT and every student that comes to the see just the boys game should read this and think about it . I remember 2 years ago when the boys could not make it out of the region the girls went to the the state tourney and the students were there. But last year the girls got no support from the student section. I was at the Giles game in Lawrence County the other night and the student section for Lawrence Co. supported the girls and the boys. When i see topics on here asking who has the best student section and people from Giles Co. get on here and say they have the best student section it makes me think how can you have the best section when you just support half your teams playing that night. I over heard a man from Giles Co. make a comment the other night that bothered me he said during the girls game that's the bad part about getting here early is you have to set through the girls game. I bet if he had a girl playing he would feel different about that comment. Giles Co. you have a rare chance to support 2 very good teams give the girls the respect they have earned. Go Lady Bobcats and also the Bobcats.

Does anybody think that maybe Tristen not being there to rebound this year is going to hurt Giles County more than we thought? And not having a leader on the floor like Eric hurts in the close games at the end when you need someone like that running the show. Who's going to step up and be the leader this year? Tyler is great but don't seem to be the leader on the floor that we need.

Giles County will play in the Sportsmed Shootout in Huntsville at the VBCC. Tournament begins Thursday goes thru Saturday. Go to sportsmedshootout.com for details and directions.

Giles County will win but it will be interesting to see if the loss of 2 starters will be a big differance in how they play. Also the loss of the first 2 off the bench could be big if people get in foul trouble early.

Hey willyp6 i was not mad about wneely not trash talking just wondering why he wasn't . People seem to take alot of things wrong on here i guess some just want to be mad so they think everybody is mad. wneely meant no harm just wondering.

wneely what's wrong with you this year? last year everytime you got on here you were saying how good Tyler was now this year you seem to not like him as much. Do you think he has not improved any since last year let everybody in on what's going on ?

Columbia is the first home game and a BIG game as always get there early if you want to get in i would say about 5:30 at least.
