Not banned lol I just haven’t been able to make it to the last few games so I haven’t had much insight.  Plus I knew what this game was going to be unfortunately

Good to know!  Keep us posted when you do have further info on the BDP home front

  2. QUOTE(WHBDP @ Jan 18 2007 - 06:09 PM) 826336820

this isn't about our food, its about football, and u just plain sayin we will not beat alcoa is childish, we have a better chance at beating alcoa than ne one, and we aren't those teams, we're white house. BDP

hey whbdp, if you don't wont to hear the true story, don't ask a question like this in your post. wh does have a god solid program, but are no where the caliber as alcoa, maryville or even there other pssilble semi-final matchups in the east in 3-A. SOMETIMES THE TRUTH HURTS, live with it!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. One of the most memorable was in 1998, White House against Livingston Academy.

White House leads, 20-12, and Mr. Football Grant Swallows leads Livingston on a late touchdown drive to make it 20-18. However, Swallows is sacked on the two-point conversion, leaving the Wildcats with no choice but to onside kick with a minute left to play.

Livingston kicks off the football, and on one bounce it hits the first White House man right in the chest, which happens to be linebacker Chad Rogers on the hands team. Rogers is never touched and takes the ball in stride, hitting the endzone on a 53-yard kick return to seal the game.

To this day, it's the only onside kick I have ever seen returned for a touchdown in any level of football.

White House wins, 27-18 and seals the region championship on their way to an eventual semifinal.

The game you are referring to was actually in 1997. It is also the only onside kick I have ever seen returned. It was a great game.

    GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. onlychevy, please get out of the football mode and get into the basketball mode - there is only 3 classifications in basketball 1A - 2A - and 3A - now football has five - 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A - it is the only sport in TSSAA that has 5 classes, unless we talk about privates - WHHS is a 3AAA school in bball this year, and yes 4A in football - if your gonna compare apples to oranges at least get the correct kinds together - but next year they will be 2AA in all sports EXCEPT football where they will be 3A -

as to the game - dont make things look worse - it still all about the kids

I know these two played at 5:30, WHO WON THE GAME AND THE SCORE?

  5. Good Job Fulton ,you guys were by far the better team ,i guess we just couldnt handle the turf LOL.

Maybe in the words of your own #89 at the WH/GB basketball game " ya'll got it handed to you in the 'boro! But anyway, congrats on a great year, you represented Your side of the bracket well.

    See you next season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. the whhs football team seniors have played together for years and were assembled from a 4a size student body at a time when the entire town of white house attended whhs. now that the town has been divided into two separate school systems the student body at whhs is of course smaller but at the time the graduating seniors came together the student body was definitely 4a size. after redistricting, the students who were already enrolled at whhs were given the choice to stay at whhs or go to the new school, if they were zoned for it, and with no exception the group who are seniors this year opted to stay. they were a 4a team, played like a 4a team, looked like a 4a team, and did very well in the 4a program but were beaten by a better 4a team in memphis last week and have nothing to be ashamed of.  obviously they would  probably have been playing for the 3a championship tomorrow if they had competed this year against 3a teams. that is because  THEY WERE A 4A TEAM! so get over it!

Yes four years ago the enrollment at white house was to the 4-A level, one year after that alignment took place, because of the split, the enrollment was the same as Sycamore(805), a 3-A school. Maybe this was a fact you were not aware of. Needless to say we are not down about our loss last week. It was a great run by such a great group of young MEN. They will be forever remembered for their accomplishments during the 2004 season. To look at the number of players on this team as a result of the split, only 5 to 6 players actually still live in robertson county. Again, the post was started as a result of others bad mouthing our athletes or our lack of any. No reason to get over anything, we are proud of what we accomplished and the wins over some VERY talented teams, including GREENBRIER.

So on a positive note to end this post: GREENBRIER, GOOD LUCK TOMORROW White House is with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. sure you had a good team but come on 2005 3a state champs no reason to take it that far and i would put the winner of 3a against the winner of 4a anyday there aint no easy week at anylevel when you got the same size schools playing each other dont complain to us just settle it on the field next year when you are 3a and we will se if you are the state champs

    825466576

No complaining here. The post statad White House did not have the athletes. Just stating some facts that some of you know nothing about. Maybe not a good statement on 3-A state champs, but Greenbrier is in the finals and the game with the blue devils was not even as close as the score. You are dreaming about a 3-A/4-A match-up. Would not be a contest, too much SPEED at every position. As far as next season, it will be hard to compare since most schools in the region lose a large number of seniors. But reegardless, WE WILL BE PACKED AND READY WHEN THE 2005 SEASON BEGINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I don't think you helped them for OUR offense.  I don't think my QB will be there unless he is in the stands.   We got some pressure on the QB but he got rid of the ball quickly.  I stand by the statement that they have a better offense than White HouseWhite House (although very good) just didn't have the athletes at receiver that Fulton does.  It isn't close.  Maybe they will have an off day...or turn the ball over.  In the 2nd half of our game...they were difficult to defend.  You have to take advantage of opportunities against them.  We didn't do that.  Maybe Greenbrier can.  If Greenbrier doesn't throw effectively...I don't see them running over Fulton.

All of you people should take a hard look at your posts before you enter them. It is hard to say White House did not have athletes when most of you probably never saw us play. While being in 4-A with a 3-A student body and making it to the semi-finals against a very ATHLETIC team in Melrose, all you 3-A teams should be thankful White House was not in this classification. If they had of been: White House: 2005 3-A State Champions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT BECAUSE OF TSSAA WE WILL NEVER KNOW THIS OUTCOME. If all of you want to see what athletism is at a higher level watch the 4&5-A games, then you will realize what kind of team White House had this year. IF you do not believe this post, jump on up to the higher classifications and find out yourselves. There are no easy weeks when you play at these levels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO BIG BLUE!

  9. Coach Porter from White House did a remarkable job this year. White House wasn't favored to do near this good this year, and he ends up 7 points from winning the semi's. Great Job Coach

    825454749

if anyone knows anything about the white house program, the four assistants are the ones who should be getting the praise. they take care of almost every aspect of this program from start to finish. so, congratulations on a well coached year to Coach Jim Grantham, Coach James Honeycutt, Coach Mike Dawson and Coach Mark Lamberth.

GO BLUE DEVILS, the 2005 season is only months away!!!!

  10. the white house-melrose game will be on 1010 AM. good luck to the blue devils! don't let this opportunity pass by. in games of this magnitude, HEART and great DETERMINATION will prevail. LET'S GO TO MURFREESBORO IN A WEEK!!!!!! FROM all the BLUE DEVIL NATION: 14-0 or 13-1, which sounds better.

    GO DEVILS, BEAT melrose

  11. Region6-4AAAAFan, you can pull all the shanangins you want, but this is a very disciplined group of young MEN. They have but one goal in mind and that is to play one game at a time. I promise you all they are concerned with at this point is NORTHWEST and nothing else. Unlike a year ago, this group has direction of their own and goals they want to acheive. You can try to distract them with your posts about playoffs and the game in week 10 vs. PEARL-COHN, but all they listen to are themselves and their coaches. They are on a misson that only they, themselves can destroy. BDP is, as, always alive in the hearts of these players.

    GO BIG BLUE! BEAT NORTHWEST!!

Stay Focused on the task at hand, all else will take care of itself!!!!!!!!!

  12. whhs1975, as my grandfather might have said, you hit the nail right on the head. of all the changes that has occurred, there has been one constance, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL. it is still the talk of the town. GO BIG BLUE!
