Oh yea, I noticed that there are not as many girls in the dugout as there used to be. Does anyone know what happened to the other girls? Someone said that when the JV season was over that the girls left the team. I didn't even know that we had a JV team. Who was the coach?

I agree with you RF, it was great to see the Lady Rebels advance to the next level. I think that they play the runner-up of the District 3 teams. Does anyone know who that is? And when is the game scheduled to be played?

I think that Neal is actually a player on the team. I think that she is the player with the #1 on her jersey. She don't think that she will confess, but I know its her. Maybe.

What a great weekend! Although the Lady Rebels did not win the tournament they had a very rewarding experience that will only help them later on into the state qualifiers. Hats off to Coach Hawkins and Coach Norris. Both of them truly care about the girls and do everything they can to help them improve. Maryville's fan support comes directly from the players parents, grandparents and siblings. They are a great group of folks and truly love to watch the Lady Rebels. Let all of us be thankful for our wonderful lives and thank God everyday for how he has blessed us. Watching these young ladies give their best and knowing that they will mature into beautiful and contributing members of society makes me very proud. Thanks Coach Hawkins and Norris for your contribution into their lifes. Words cannot express our appreciation.

Can someone please give me some information on hotels in the area. My daughter plays for Maryville High School and we have gotten very little information. If you could give me the names of some area hotels and which town they are located in, I will handle the rest. Thank you in advance for your help.

Boy oh boy, am I ever confused now. I thought that Neil was actually Doc Hawkins, the coach at Maryille High School. Now I see KenHawk aka Doc Hawkins sending a message to Neil, saying please get my permission before speaking for me. I need to take a nap and think about this one. Will the real Coach Hawkins, whether that is KenHawk, Doc Hawkins or Neil, please stand up.

Neil, When I posted the message about the Gibbs High School fan and parent support, it was meant to be a compliment to them and not a slap at Maryville. Based on your response, it appears that you thought that I implied that MHS does not have good fan support, THAT IS NOT TRUE. I believe very strongly in the community, team and coaching staff. I just wish that we had someone that would act as the catalyst and help improve our practice and game playing field situation. As stated, I have a daughter that plays on the team and am very proud of her and the whole team. So, please accept my apology if I said something to irritate you, that was certainly not my intent.

Neil, just wanted to say thanks for posting all of the scores. You appear to be very close to the program and know alot about the inner workings of the organization. The team appears to have it together, which is a bit surprising considering they lost about 7 seniors from last year. What do you (and others think about their chances this year? They appear to have great team speed, pretty good hitting and fielding and one of the best pitchers in East Tennessee. With only one current Senior, how is there leadership? Are they playing in any other tournaments this year?
