I dont see an upset. Southside has had an up and down season, but to see the giant killers of McNairy beat 2 tough AA teams in 3 days would almost be a miracle. Southside by 11.

This game win come down to the wire. I think that NE has the better team, and coach, but NW has fought through adversity and is playing as a cohesive unit. The loss at Henry probably was a fluke, and probably woke them up. NE has not played well down the stretch squeaking out wins at Dickson, and Rossview, but did blow Henry Co. out in their gym. This will be a classic. So much is riding on this game. I agree this game may determine who wins the MVP of the District. Reed or Townley. Reed has good leadership, and Townley has huge numbers. Well you cant ignore Pflegier's 24 ppg avg. either, Take him away from Dickson, and whould have not won a game all year. Its just too close to call.

I've seen Trenton Play about 3 times this year, and to say that they are a half-court team is off-base. They only have one scorer in Doaks. He cant win games with his 20 points alone, and that doesnt make the team better. Im hearing that Ramsey is now the point, wouldnt that take some of the extra scoring away? If Trenton would press, and try to get more transition buckets, and use its speed to get more easy baskets instead of banging it down low then it would take more pressure off Doaks. What you do by playing such a big lineup, against smaller players is allowing teams to rest on the defensive end. So playing a half court game may be costing Trenton more points, and more wins. Trenton is a team that can sneak up on you becasue of its ATHLETES, but thats about it. On any given night they could have a player off the bench give you double figures. I have to agree Tide pride in what he said in an earlier post..Trenton is at such a disadvantage with this line up againts a smaller team. Why not small on small, and big, on big?? Thats just my opinion. I do see them upsetting a team or 2 if they can get more scoring than Doaks in the half court set.

IS CHS getting Eric Whitaker back? If so this is the team to beat in the region!

I like NW alot, I see them peeking at the right time. I saw them earlier in the year against Mt. Juliet and they couldnt guard a 12 yr old YMCA team. But since the addition of Darnell Hendrickson, NW has been a totally different team. Having Hendrickson join the team has made it easier for Townley and co. They are playing there best ball right now, but so is CHS. I think NE is very dangerous. I think they can beat any team in the region. Its going to go down to the wire in the tourney!

Big Y, Tyrone Caldwell played YBOA, they do have all tourney younger than 17yr. He made All tourney in every event that he played in last summer. It wasnt AAU. Sorry.

Joe Shivers shattered the backboard at the Championship of the Gibson County Christmas tourney. It was in late Dec, and they played Milan.

Hmm..... Id take Webb, only for this reason. Webb has a better work ethic, and the will to get better. You can it this on a this kids face. But to have Webb, Doaks , and Shane on the same team would be a dream...lol

I'll take Pfleiger anyday, can shoot it from anywhere. He is a poor mans version of JJ Redick from Duke.

I have to disagree with you on that one TnBball, Newell is very athletic, but cannot take over a game. I think Townley will win hands down. His team will probably finish first in the district, and he makes his team surge. Take him from that team, and they may not win half of their games. Here is be my predictions by vote getters. MVP 1. Townley- stats, record, leadership 2. Pfleiger- cant ignore 25+ per night withall of the junk defenses that he faces. 3. Reed- his numbers dont reflect what he really does for his team. A yr a way from this award 4. Harris- stud, but plays for a terrible team. If he played for a .500 or better team he would be a lock. 5.Bolden- will give Reed a run for his money for Montgomery County player of the yr Award, next yr.

Good post TNBBall, Townley is a great high school player, but will not play DI ball. He is very fun to watch play. Every guard on that list has DI ability, and size. If I had to pick the three best that I have seen this yr. B. Burney, R. Williams, R. Ervin, Dequan Twilley is pretty good too!!
