  17. East TN AAU Conference (parts of Regions 1 & 2) is adding a elementary duals division (k-5th) to our conference. We have less weight classes to include more teams in our area. (10 weight classes). Most of our events are on Friday Night before a Saturday HS tourn. We tried this concept last year with a hand full of teams / Clubs and it was a big hit with the kids and parents. Most of these kids and parents aren't exposed to the dual concept, but they loved it. Our Elem. Dual season was Dec. / Jan. We tried to do as many Friday night duals as possible. We charged each team a minimal fee to help pay the refs. We did a 1-1-1 period. No combined teams / Must be the same team or club. Team Round robin; gave the winning team cheap gold metals. Started at 6pm finished by 9 0r 9:30 most of time. Elementary Dual Dates so far in the Knoxville Area: Nov. 21 @ PF (+ MS duals) Dec. 12 @ Seymour ? 21 @ PF (if we have interest, mats will already be down) Jan. 9 @ PF or Seymour ? 16 @ Halls 24 East TN Conference Elementary Duals Championships @ ?
