  4. Never said 8AAA didn't have nominations. Sheffield was invited but declined. Another was out of the country. Just examples. The kid you said was injured was already in to play. Got hurt the day I posted the roster. You had some nominated, some not I am sure, but the level of talent was very very good. 6 kids invited (4 that accepted and played) were drafted this year. AAA is very hard. Gonna get some right, gonna miss some as well. You can't make it just perfect. Plus, it gives people like you to talk negative about and pick to death here on this site. Your district had a 1st round selection. You also had a few I wished were selected, but when you are stacked up against kids from the Tennessee River to Cumberland County, it is hard. You know, I don't owe you or anyone any explanation. Why, because I organized this to do one thing.......celebrate the careers and seasons of a few when NOBODY else was nor has. I will listen to any positive idea or suggestion you may have. I am all ears. I want it to grow. It has more than doubled from two years ago. The best part: EVERY SINGLE PLAYER WAS RESPECTFUL AND APPRECIATIVE! When you get an email from a parent thanking you and telling you that his son, "Had the most fun playing ball he has had in a long time." and that kid is playing DI or DII baseball next year speaks for itself. As for Frasier, I named him the head coach for one reason.................The title is for show. He worked with the others to successfully get every kid in the game and play as equal as possible. That is a challenge in itself, plus he was THE FIRST AAA COACH TO VOLUNTEER TO DO IT!!!! They got a shirt, lanyard, and a Baseball America magazine. You people have ZERO clue what you have in your coaches. I don't give a darn how many games or district titles they have won. Brad has always stepped up to coach (volunteer) showcases and events when others run from it. I am very appreciative to every coach that took the challenge to make this event work. They are the minority. You'd be shocked at how many run from it. You don't like something, you blame me, not these coaches on these All-Star staffs. THEY DID NOT SELECT NOR INVITE A SINGLE PLAYER. They see the roster like everyone else.....the day I posted them on coacht.com Thanks to all that came out. It was a fun day. Biggest crowd yet!!
  5. There were kids from 8AAA not available due to being out of town/draft. Getting 20-24 kids out of 75 nominees is tough. Some great players are left off due to all kinds of reasons. Some previously mentioned. 38% of 8AAA didn't nominate anyone. It is a good AAA squad.

  8. Yes they are. Sheffield was not available. Since that we thought we could recognize more kids. I am sure he won't mind. I'd take my $1-million plus instead. I was curious how long it would be before someone asked that. It is nothing negative toward Coach White nor Justus. Since he was not gonna be connected in any way to this event, we just thought, "That would be one more kid to acknowledge"

  15. Trousdale County is looking for a game this Saturday. A team has canceled due to "Prom"! Anyone interested contact head coach Eric Vetetoe at 615-887-1691 or ericvetetoe@tcschools.org
  16. Yo Bro! Not in the hands of coaches. They didn't make that call. But, you got some, Ooooooooooooooooo Points for your comment.
  17. Due to a change in a school event, Trousdale had to cancel its March 10th home opener. Trousdale is looking for anyone to play at Hartsville on Wednesday March 12th. Will play AAA JV if would like. Just need the game and don't want to lose a home game. Home schedule is already a small one. Any school interested, please contact Davy Cothron at 615-633-6029 (call/text) or by email at davycothron@tcschools.org Thanks and Good Luck to all in 2014!
  18. Wow! Congrats to all the kids on this list but i see 12 plus from three schools (Adamsville, Grace, Trinity) and TC, who goes undefeated and state title has TWO. Those two seem to be tokens from the Tennessean All-Midstate teams. It seems to be that way every year TC has won a state title (except '97) when they rolled the All-State lists. I am not saying any of these kids on the list should be replaced, but wow! The bottom line is this: Grace (Knoxville) and Adamsville/Trinity (Jackson) are backed by large media outlets and those writers are voting for those and TC, along with the other rural schools, are hoping a major outlet's writers like (Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Clarksville, Memphis, Jackson) throw a bone based on the names seen during the end run. I know its tough to see/know about sooooo many kids, but going undefeated and winning the whole pie means you probably have more than two. I'm sure they will take the ring over that anyway. PS - I really wish The Tennessean would bring back All-Midstate by class instead of the AAA/D-II AA team with some AA/A/D-IIA sprinkled in its 2nd and 3rd teams. It was so much cooler when they did teams for each class and had a offensive POY, Defensive POY, and Coach of the Year for each class. Just my thoughts. Happy New Year!!!
