  1. runs a whole lot more than they pass, especially now that their QB is out. Their line is big and quick and block very well for the 2 lightning quick running backs they have. They run a lot of student body sweeps and are good @ getting linemen out there to block

  2. A fan can film just as long as a tripod is not involved. I have seen this somewhere o the TSSAA website. If this person is involved with Lewis County in an official way, then touble may be brewing. I would hope the staff of Lewis County would be smart enough not to view this tape. All they have to do is ask and I'm sure coaches will swap film, it is done all the time.

  3. Milan has a tough schedule next year although they may have their 5th state championship with it @ the end. Henry County, Covington, Union City, Westview, JCM, Trenton, Dresden, Humboldt, Huntingdon and Manassas.

Dont you think the shear number of games as comparible to football. Football is played on friday nights one night a week 10 regular season games. Normal Basketball season is about 30 games thats 3 times the away games.

Not that it matters that much but 26 is the max on regular season games. For a home and home schedule that is 13 away games, some on Friday and some on Saturday and some during Christmas break, so 5 or 6 mid-week games in 3 months is not bad. Looking @ milans' schedule they have 5 mid-week away games 3 are 15 min. away and 2 are 30 min away. Just good scheduling I guess.

I have not taken the time to break this down, but it seems to me that if 4 or 5 classes in basketball existed, there would be fewer districts in each class than exist now. instead of 16 in AA for example there might only be 8 districts. 2 districts in each 1/4 of the state. I do not see any more traveling with that in mind, than I do now.

But some only have 4 in the districts they are in now what would they do.

Depending on where the breaking point is, they might stay the same. Then agian if there are less districts there could even be more per district.

Go to the link below, pick your sport, and enter both boys and girls games. (Select "both" when entering each game). DO NOT select Doubleheader! That is for baseball and softball only. Then go back and enter girls only games and boys only games.

PLEASE remember: January and February will be the year 2003, not 2002!! Also, do NOT enter district and region tourney games/sites at this time. That would just be something else we have to correct later.

Coacht looks as though the 2/11/03 westview vs Milan game was entered twice before I beagn on Milans' schedule. I am sending you a book soon with several area schedules, hope you enjoy. PS have you rcv'd my check for coach plus?

    Any questions, ask them here.

You might want to check first and see if any games are already entered. The system should not let you duplicate games, anyway, but this would save you some time.

Then come back and use the link below to enter games:

you get an answer to this I sure would be interested in knowing the intelligent answer if there is one

My understanding of this is that it would be to hard to get the districts and regions matched up. The way they have it now is still hard for some teams because they have to travel so far and thats is what they want to try to cut down is the travel.

Up until last year you could not travel any further than Camden vs Bolivar for a district game. It is minimum 2 hours one way for what used to be a district game. Still today Milan vs Camden or milan vs riverside is a 1 hour drive. humboldt vs Bolivar or Mcnairy is a 1 hour drive. Trenton vs Mitchell is 1-1/2 hour drive. There are still some long travel times.

I don't buy that. Crockett stopped itself with a holding penalty deep in Milan territory on their first drive. It's not like Crockett played it's best football. I believe they had two missed field goals as well. That's 13 points right there. If Crockett had punched the ball in towards the end of the game when they had it on the Milan 10 yard line, it would have been an uglier score at 31-14. I know it hurts to lose when you're a fan of a great program, but Milan was not the better team. Their offensive and defensive fronts had nothing on Crockett County's. The 7-10 notion is not accurate in my opinion. When I look at both teams and consider the athletes each have, I have to go with Crockett County. Both have great coaches, Crockett just had too much speed. Milan basically got ran over and were it not for the onside kick and the blown coverage on Crockett's part on the ensuing play, the score would have suggested a blow out.

We will never know, that is why everyone gets his/her own opinion. CC does have a good team. IMO though Milan should have also scored a couple of times in the 1st quarter not counting a field goal attempt and they also helped CC in their drives with penalties. 1st time I saw CC play this year, so I base my opinion, like yourself on one game. Good luck to both!

  10. Milan can not blame the officials, only themselves. Milan beat Milan, with help from a solid CC team. I am from Milan and have seen the same people do the same dumb things all year. The difference is when you play a solid team like CC, you get beat. Coach Morris has a lot of work to do with the brains and discipline of SOME key players, to make overachievers out of them. SOME key players have not shown the pride that it takes to go far in the playoffs yet. Hopefully they will. If Milan played CC again, and played the way they are capable of playing, I think Milan would come out on top 7 out of 10 times, but the way they played Friday nite CC would win 10 of 10. Good luck CC, GO DAWGS!!

PS Is the FLETCHOA the fletch I know?

What changes has your school made (or been forced to make) to their 2003-04 schedules? I can't wait until they're officially released. :D

It will be interesting to see which schools (such as Greenfield or TCA) will be forced into tougher schedules based on recent successes.

I do not understand the term "forced" please explain, who is forcing the changes?

  12. Have not seen CC play yet, but still know theya re for real as P.A. does a great job. The difference for Milan is going to be Daylon Walker. So far he has been inconsistant as a reciever, punt returner, kick off return man and blocking. If he would bring a workmans attitude to this game, Milan would win. however if he brings (i am the star attitude) CC will win because of it, as he will make crucial mistakes. Other than that Milan is pretty solid and I'm sure CC is also.

  13. Last time these 2 met in alamo it was one of the best high school football games I have ever been to. It should be no different this week, with both being undefeated. No predictions here but get there very early if you want a chance at a seat. Even thugh CC has a nice facility with plenty of seating and they even brought in extra seats last time, It will be overflowing 1-1/2 hours b4 game time.

  14. Milan should win 11AA again. Lexington 2nd, Camden 3rd, Mckenzie and then Riverside.

Milan returns PG Kyle Shannon 5'9", post Justin Cagle 6'10", wing Franz Seyerle 6'3", 4 man Rod Smith 6'2", wing Nathan Hulling 6'2", wing/pg Henry Adkisson 6'3" all who at one point started for Milan last year. Added to this group will again be a deep bench with Chad Grimes, Marlon Dodson, Johnathon Hutkins, and others.

Lexington does return a lot of key players and should be very competitive in all games and will win several. Camden also returns many players, but still lacks quality depth. Bain is outstanding, Martin is solid, Sims and Reed are also solid. Mckenzie and Riverside will struggle.

There is an sophmore guard at Hillsboro by the name of Robert Hudson who has improved tremendously over the summer, He will definitely be known by his junior or senior year depending on how much time he'll be getting this year. He's 5'6 and has great ball control, can pass, and he has a nice shot. He will be playing AAU next summer, him and his friends are trying to start they're own squad.

I realize this is not Mid state but Milan has a good PG in Kyle Shannon who was injured most of the year last year. He will be an impact player this year along with Southsides' Hilliard Baker.
