The CRAP that i have heard went on this past weekend is PATHETIC...If you live in Halls then you know exactly what I am talking about. This happened back in the mid 1990's as well...Kevin Julian is a Red Devil thru and thru and the way some parents have acted lately is absolutely PATHETIC. I am ashamed to say that I have supported Halls for close to two decades. Do you REALLY think this is Kevin's fault? If so, then you have no idea about football and what Coaches go thru and put in on a daily basis. The problem is there are parents that think their kid is a prima donna and they should be on the field at all times and be given the ball every time Halls is on Offense. And when that doesn't happen they wanna take their kids to another school or start a petition. Kevin keep your head held high and don't worry about the fence hugging Quarterbacks that are trying to re-live their high school glory thru their own kids.

Did anyone go to the Bearden/Grace game tonight. Just wondering if the Bearden coach was talking on the phone again....Anyone??

I got a call from someone that was there and they said the coach literally walked outside or into the hallway as the game was going on and the assistant coach had to call a time out as Grace was making a nice run while the Head Coach was nowhere to be found.

Yep. But the Cougars really played pretty well, especially considering we had a freshman quarterback at the helm. Stewart County looked fundamentally sound. Cody Atkins, and number 7 were really strong backs for the Rebels. We had trouble tackling them in the 4th and in overtime.

 

You should try to let go of it and quit hating on the Cougars reddevilfever. After all, they are just kids playing football. Sheppy has a new gig now, and folks I know around CA want him and the Govs to succeed. His restaurant gets a bunch of business from the Academy folks, and he even advertises at CA. It's all good, so please try to let go of it.

While the Beardan Web Site says the Coach is a Department head in the Health and Wellness Department of the school, many times web sites are wrong or have the wrong information on it. This likely is someone who Beardan is using as a substitute coach. Havent ever heard of this.

Not sure about that but it is my understanding that she was the girls basketball coach and was removed and has been the vball coach for several years.

I don't know if what I just said is true or not it is just what i was told as I have inquired about this situation as this is pathetic for a coach to do this at ANY level.

I am not a Volleyball guru or anything close to it. But, those that follow vball in Knoxville please help me understand this.....I went to the "play day" at Webb last week... Saw several teams that looked to be pretty good I must say. BUT, the thing that is bothering me and has me wondering who hires vball coaches is that I was watching Bearden and while their contest was going on the COACH was sitting on the side talking on her cell phone almost the entire match/game... Not just one time but EVERY game I watched Bearden play she was NOT even paying attention to the match/game once it started.

Is this typical?????

Glad I don't have a child playing at Bearden as I wonder what happens at practice after seeing this.

I agree that the Collinwood team showed more talent on Friday night...more talented during overall season? Guess we'll never know. As for the earlier comments by Reddevilfever on the coaching and state titles ...

Don't remember me ever saying that Shepard won a state title or anything to that nature. So, not real sure why you are on that kick about stats that mean NOTHING to me. I do think he lead one of those teams from the school he was at to a 14-1 record or something like that only to lose in the state championship game tho. Can't remember the year and really don't care to research it.

I would give a better than 50-50 chance that O'Laughlin plays. How effective he will be is another story. This game is always close but I am not sure with all the injuries Halls has right now if it will be as close as usual. Hoping Halls can pull this one out but not ready to predict a Win

A bunch of 6A schools? There are only 3 6A schools in District 3AAA - Oak Ridge, Hardin Valley, and Karns. The rest are playoff classification 5A schools.

The Halls/Sevier has been going on yearly for a good while now.....Kinda like the scrimmages between Halls and DB......Both starting to become traditions.

Alright, so we've seen several predictions from the Jo Byrns folks on how they think this game will turn out...how about the Cascade folks?
