    Under that scenario, Powell, Halls, West, and Central would be tied at 4-3 in region play with 3 slots to be had. Halls and Powell would have 6 overall wins, and Central and West 5. It appears that Halls would be number 2, and Powell 3 since they have more overall wins and Halls beat Powell head to head. Then it would look like Central would be in over West as the number 4 seed since they would have won the head to head match up. West would be on the outside looking in.

     

    Again, that's how I see it. I've been wrong many times before, but that's the scenario that I see.

     

    Sounds good to me. I was getting a headache trying to figure that one out.

    Playoff implications:

     

    Here is the scenario of what the playoff picture will look like after this week, from the TSSAA website:

    Maryville is first.

    If Halls wins and West wins, Halls is second, West is third, and Powell is fourth.

    If South Doyle wins and West wins, West is second, Halls is third, and Powell is fourth.

    If Central wins and Powell wins, Halls is second, Powell is third, and Central is fourth.

    If Halls wins, Central wins, and Clinton wins, Halls is second, Central is third, and West is fourth.

    If South Doyle wins, Central wins, and Clinton wins, Central is second, Halls is third, and West is fourth.

     

    So the worst for Halls is third place and thankfully we miss Red Bank for once in week one of the playoffs. It looks like Cleveland at Home or Brainerd away.

     

     

    What happens if Central wins, Powell wins and South Doyle wins? Just wondering. I think Halls wins this game by 10

    I will agree with most of those picks but let me throw something at ya.......

    I kinda heard thru the grapevine that Clarksville Academy will be missing something like 5 or 6 starters on the offensive and defensive side of the ball and only have like 15 or 16 healthy players that will suit up on Friday night against Nashville Christian. Not sure who the players are that are out but that has to be a big blow considering they only had something like 30 players to begin with.

    This is a tough week. There are two or three games that could go either way. Here are my picks:

     

    White House Heritage - looking VERY strong now. can't wait til next week :]]]]

     

    Forrest - Community is a first year program and this game will be handled by Forrest.

     

    McEwen - in the driver's seat for the 4th playoff spot and won't lose it again like last year.

     

    Eagleville - I LOVE my eagles!!! their explosive offense will dominate a supposedly improved team in CA...

     

    Jo Byrns - PICK OF THE WEEK: HUGE GAME this week. can't wait to se the score! i think JB will avenge their loss to WHH last week and take down cascade. check out their seperate thread to see my full analysis lol.

     

     

     

    Like that explosive offense you guys have. You might want to not talk trash until you learn how to have an explosive defense. To let the QB from CA have 160+ yards and also their star RB to have 150+ yards is a disgrace.

    I would have to say that after seeing that score that CA has improved since last year. Just an FYI.... an explosive offense should produce more than ONE win in NINE games. Also, you might want to go by Coach Flatt's room and beg him to help coach the team next year! Good Luck

  7. MARYVILLE VS HALLS

    Unlike over the last 4 years or so...Maryville is beatable this year. I am not saying Halls will snap the streak or anything but Maryville will have a tougher time making it to the 'Boro this year. If Halls plays the way they are capable of playing they win 31-28. If they don't play the way they are capable.....it will be a looooong night.

    Good Luck to both teams.

    Eagleville's Offense averages 12.63 pts game

    Defense averages giving up 27.88 pts game

     

    Clarksville Academy Offense averages 15.13 pts game

    Defense averages giving up 23.75 pts game

     

    How in Horse's hind end is Eagleville's Offense "explosive"?

     

    What would that make Clarksville Academy's offense? Dynamite? what?

    Hey can anyone get in the pressbox or do you have to have media credentials (sp?)? Someone told me the food in the Halls pressbox and said if you can get in there you could stuff your face full. Hope I get in before Coach Poston does. LOL!

     

    Don't recall a Coach Poston ever coming into the press box. Now I have seen a Coach Polston in the press box in years past though. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

    I'll agree with you fever blister except I think McEwen pulls the upset in that one. Do you think your Devils or my Colts lose first this season?

     

    Without looking at the Colts schedule, I will say the Colts lose first just because of Addai and Harrison being out with injury and by the way I am not a JBS follower. Different Reddevil. Different county. Different side of the state.
