Should be a good game, South came out on top last time. The South Juniors and the Hill Juniors have played each other for the last 7 or 8 years, the South coach coached the Science Hill juniors for a couple of years!!! Will be a close one, could go either way thumb

Game is at TN High, 5pm start. Should be a good game, as we know these two teams are not the best of friends! I think the hill will be a bit to strong. Might be an even better game South v TN High. Anybody have any opinions on that game?

I watched Centenial play Independance high last weekend in Williamson County. Centenial had two freshman starting, one at left back and a very good player in center midfield. He played defensive mid, #24 I think, controlled the midfield all game. Anybody know his name?? For Independance, Ben Gaines at sweeper was very good.

Any predictions: DB against the old rivals Science Hill, this is usually the final, but not this year! TN High playing in the own backyard against the new kids on the block Sullivan South. South maybe have one of the best Junior classes in the state, if they dont manage to get to Memphgis this year, just watch them next year.

Tryouts for the DI teams can only be done after the DI tournament. The state Tournament is June 11 -13. Most clubs will have tryouts for their older boys teams the week of June 13 - 17. If the team is from a smaller club with less chance of new players coming to tryout the team may not even have a scheduled tryout. Get in touch with the coach, tell him your background and that you are interested in playing, and most of us coaches will welcome a player to a few training sessions with the team to see if you will fit in.

Is it true that some private schools in the state, mainly the Middle of the state, give out Scholarships to some players in order for them to attend the school? Anybody have any details?

I agree the Hill have quality in depth on the bench, I just think that the knoxville teams will win, mainly due to the fact the the Knoxville boys play a higher standared of Soccer year round, and not just high school soccer as a lot of the North East players do. Personally I would love to see a few of the North East sides playing in Memphis but unfortunatly I cant see it!

Monday, Crockett is at Tennessee High and Daniel Boone is at Dobyns-Bennett. The winner of the D-B vs. Boone game will meet Science Hill on Wednesday. South will play the winner of Crockett and Tennessee High on Wednesday. The semifinals winners Wednesday will meet for the title on Thursday at the Stone Castle in Bristol. I would expect TN High to be playing South in the semi-final, DB to play the Hill in the other semi. Both semi's could be very close. DB will as always in the play-offs give Science Hill a good game, However I think the hill wins 2-0. South and TN high could be a very good game, tied 0-0 during the season, I think maybe South wins in a thriller, if they can get their defense back on track after Greenville. Score 3-2. Final will be South v Science Hill, I dont think the Hill will let South beat them again, a Science Hill 3-1 win. The Hill and South will both get knocked out in regional play by the Knoxville Teams.

IHS, have played tough throughout the season. They have beaten the teams they should have beat, and have usually payed tough for the first 60 minutes of most games. The main problem with the team is age. They are Freshman and Sophs playing against Juniors and Seniors, the size, strength and physical nature of the game is wearing them down toward the end of the games and they are leaking a few goals, which makes the scorelines look a lot worse than what they are. By the time this sophmore class are seniors, IHS will be a very good team. The seniors will be good, the Junior class will have 5 or 6 players who play Division 1 travel team, a few good sophmores and and Freshman class that will be able to contribute to Varsity straight away.

So who is going to win tonight. This game rescheduled from last week. South will be hungry for beating DB. DB has been getting better since the start of the season, as always they will play some good out of region games.

I looked through the TSSAA rules and could see no mention of players not being allowed to practice with their club teams, although it does mention that players can not play games outside of high school games.

I thought that club teams could not play games during high school season but could practice? I will have a look on the TSSAA site and see what I can find. Thanks.

How often will the girls who are playing high school soccer, get together with their club team during high school season this fall?

Sam did the simple things well when he got on the field last season, I can see him being a superstar when he takes over from Duran for his senior year.
