  1. He's running the read option better as well. He's actually pulling it on occasion and making good yardage. We definately have to hit dude, and often!
  2. Oh, that's right. This game is played Thursday night. Man! I wonder if I can talk the wife into letting me go to TWO high school football games in one week? Hmmmmmm ...
  3. Aiight ... aiight ... g'wone wit'cha bad self then! 72 points!
  4. There are some other games that are high profile as well. The Rideway vs East (Both are ranked in the TN AP poll in 4A) game and the MUS vs CBHS (Both are ranked in the TN AP poll in class D2-AA) game, eventhough it was explained earlier that if MUS were to lose, they would still get the No. 1 seed. (Some type of tie-break thing vs head-to-head) The East vs Ridgeway game does having seeding implications. Like our game, the winner gets the 1 seed and the loser gets the 2 seed. However, I think it is a very BIG game, it just depends upon who you ask, It's not the biggest dog in the fight that always wins. It's the dog with the biggest fight in them who wins. Both teams have stellar defenses, Yards are going to be tough to come by. Can Cordova's front 7 shut down the Whitehaven ground and pound. Can Whitehaven's front 7 slow down the Cordova read option & passing game. Can our DL make the Cordova QB uncomfortable in passing situations? This game will be won in the trenches ... no doubt.
  5. So, you are going to make this a David and Goliath situation. Cordova don't fit the profile of David ... LOL ... you my wanna think like that because David pulled what was to be considered an unlikely victory, when looking at the circumstances. However, both of these teams are heavy weights! This Ali (Whitehaven) vs Norton (Cordova). This is Cassius Clay (Whitehaven) vs Sonny Liston (Cordova). (See what I did there?) Now ... if you think Whitehaven is underestimating Cordova ... then I got some beach front property in downtown Memphis to sell you. LOL.
  6. Dude, nice to see you posting. I see you are rolling with the Wolves. Aiight. Are you going to go to the game?
  7. You know ... I've listened to this game over the radio, but I've never tried to stream it. It has been my experience, that the local radio stations web sites don't stream the live broadcasts of the local high school football games. However, I'm not 100% sure that all of them are like that. LOD, It probably wouldn't hurt to try to log onto the 56-WHBQ web page at the time of the game and hit the 'Listen Live' link. What do you have to lose?
  8. Where is Cordova901 and Poet21? Come on ya'll, let's chop it up and talk the game up. I know ya'll are out there reading this thread! LOL ... lurkin' in the weeds! Come on guys ... let's have some fun with this!
  9. I have to give credit where credit is due. Their Defense is up to par, and then some. This is going to be a knock-out, drag-out type of game. They have two defensive tackles that have already committed to play D-1 next year. One is going to the U of M and the other is going to the U of Kentucky to play in the SEC. Thev'e been tight all year, especially against the run. They have also worked their way up to be ranked #4 in the state in the 6A AP poll. That is consistency. Don't get me wrong ... i'm rollin' with the Haven ... but the hype is for real. That ain't the 'school of the blind' over there we are about to play. They remember last year like we do, and better believe the QB wants a better showing then he had last year. This is for the No. 1 seed in the play-offs. This is HUGE! Go Tigers!
  10. I don't know about all of that. I don't think East puts 40 on Ridgeway. I don't think Ridgeway puts 32 on East. East may or may not win, but I think your point total is way too high. I think this game will be a 21 - 14 type of game ... maybe 17- 14, with Ridgeway having the kicking game. Both teams defenses are too good for that type of score. East held Cordova to 27 points and Ridgeway held Whitehaven to 28. I think possibly 24-21 ... nothing higher then that though. You say 72 points ... I say, 45, max.
  11. Cordova vs White Station stats Whitehaven vs White Station stats Just a little something to wet the appetite. Conversation pieces. For those of us who like to do comparative analysis. This is the one common opponent that I thought was relative. We could look at others ... but I like this one personally.
  12. I see my man BHS is hyped and ready to go! Ain't nuthin' changed!

  15. I like that idea but I can't commit right now. I'll let you know later, closer to game time.
  16. Germantown is better then their record. However, how on earth do you have 300 yards rushing and you didn't get into the end zone once?

  19. Let's get ready to R U M B L E!!!!!!!!!!!! It's here! The Tenn. AP poll, Div. 1, Class 6A, #3 ranked, Whitehaven (6-0 Reg., 9-0 Overall) travels to play the Tenn. AP Poll, Div. 1, Class 6A, #4 ranked, Cordova (6-0 Reg., 9-0 Overall) This game is one of a few games this Friday in Memphis that his this type of hype attached to the game. The winner of this game gets the No. 1 seed in the play-offs. The loser will be the No. 2 seed. This year, the No. 1 seed plays at home, throughout the entire post season, until they play in the championship game, should the Region 4, 6A, No. 1 seed advance through each stage. Should the The No. 2 seed advance, then they will host the first two rounds. After that, it just depends on how things play out. You already know who I'm rolling with. Who do you think wins this game?
  20. This is a big Div., 1, Reg. 4, 6A game between White Station (4-2 Reg., 5-4 Overall) and Houston (4-2 Reg., 4-4 Overall) The winner of this game will get the No. 3 seed and the loser will get the No. 4 seed) They have both beaten Arlington, Collierville, and Bartlett. They have both lost to Cordova and Whitehaven. However, regardless of the outcome of this game both teams will play their first round post season game at home! The seeding however will effect who they face in the 2nd round should they win their 1st round games. The winner will travel to play Franklin and the loser will travel to play Mt. Juliet, because this past Friday MJ beat Franklin to establish who will be the No.1 and No. 2 seeds from Region 3. They will both win their final regular season games this Friday. Who do you think wins this game?
  21. Div. 1, Reg., 4, 6A game between Bartlett (0-6 Reg., 3-6) Overall) and Collierville (1-5 Reg., 2-7 Overall) is for bragging rights between both schools. Both teams haven't had much success this season. Collierville had to forfeit it's first two games on the season, and they have played some other games competitively. Their season had potential in the early stages.
  22. Div. 1, Reg. 4, Class 6A game between Arlington (2-4 Region, 5-4 Overall) and Germantown (1-5 Region, 2-7 Overall). Arlington was thought to be a contender at the beginning of the season. They are not a bad team but they are in a very competitive region. An Arlington win would put them at the No. 5 seed position come the post season. That's the best they can do, regardless of the White Station/Houston outcome because Houston has the regular season tie-break between the two. I'm not sure where a Germantown victory would put them (Germantown) nor am I sure where Arlington would be positioned. Arlington wants to win this game because a No. 5 seeded Arlington could do some damage in the playoffs going against a No. 4 seeded Region 3, 6A team in the first round. I, quite frankly think that Arlington is a team nobody wants to see this post season.
  23. Hillcrest probably doesn't have a chance in this game. However, Trezevant isn't firing on all cylinders. I suspect Trezervant will win this game ... but it is still worth watching. Trezevant should post the score that they want. With all of the turmoil that has gone on over at Trezevant, this game will bear watching.
