The girl from Northwest Whitfield is named Shelly or Shelley and she has already ran a 5K in the 18's. The newspaper said her goal was to run sub 18 by the Georgia state meet. It will be awesome to watch her run this year.

Lamar Thompson and Shane Lowe got Bradley Central off to a great start for the sectional meet at Riverdale. They finished first and second in decathalon. I don't have their point totals.

Mike Wright looked awesome at Best of Preps. He took on everything Bradley had and left them in his dust, as well as the rest of the field.

Last time I talked with him (last week) he was still undecided. I think he is strongly considering UTC.

Mike Wright is awesome IF he can stay healthy. No one else from Ooltweah appeared to be dominating the couple of times I have seen them run. Sorry I didn't pay much attention to field events. I really don't think they have the depth that Bradley does, especially at mid-distance and distance.
