Could anyone please tell me who all is scheduled to play in the Cumberland Co. tournament April 16-17?

Well, I'm not saying that 8AA has bad teams, but I wouldn't be so sure about them sending two teams to state again this year. They still have to go through 3AA, which has some pretty strong teams this year. East Ridge will be pretty tough, and Sweetwater has got some extremely strong motivation this year. Expect the Lady Cats (SHS, not GHS) to make another run at Memphis again this year. Go SHS!!!!! "The desire to win is useless without the desire to prepare"

about the jv game. sweetwater carries 15 girls on roster. the only person who doesn't play jv is their 1 senior. and it's no big deal, so chill!!!

Sweetwater has not lost a district soccer game yet. They beat Boyd-Buchanan 2-0, McMinn Central 3-0, Sequoyah 4-0, and tonight they tied Grace Academy 0-0. To take the number 1 spot in the tournament, they will have to beat Walker Valley, which they are more than capable of doing. In preseason, they tied Hendersonville and Ooltewah, and in all JV games, they have beaten McMinn County (which I might add, sincerely upset off the McMinn coach). They are quite good and have some serious potential.

i was in attendance at the greenbrier/sweetwater game, and compared to other teams sweetwater has played, i was extremely impressed with greenbrier's coaches, players, and fans. they were truly a class act. best of luck in memphis, and sweetwater will see you again next year! go lady wildcats!

I was an observer at the East Ridge/Sweetwater regional game this past Wednesday, and I must say, I was horrified at the conduct of East Ridge's fans. I can understand hanging "K's" on the fence, but airhorns and yelling at the Sweetwater outfielders is pushing it. It's good to have school spirit, but there's such thing as too much. The coaches should control them, but obviously they don't want to. This shows low class. It's the players game, not the fans! I hope something can be done about this, and good luck to David Lipscomb! Also, best of luck to Sweetwater against Greenbrier on Friday!! GO LADY CATS!!!!!!

Region play begins on Monday at 6:00. Sweetwater will play the runner-up in District 6AA, which I think is Hixson. Best of luck Lady Cats!a

Congratulations to the Sweetwater Lady Cats on their 7th straight district title! That's awesome! They've got an excellent defense, top-caliber pitching, and some hard-hitters! I look forward to watching their run to Memphis! Go Sweetwater!

you're right. on a given day, anyone can beat anyone. sweetwater has only lost games by 1 point! they stick with it and always put up a fight. i look forward to watching them suprise a few people! go lady cats!!!

No one gives Sweetwater enough respect! They are one of the best teams in East Tennessee! Their record is 24-9! Come on, even if you didn't know them, that is worthy of respect! Go Lady Cats!
