  1. The district and region tournaments never measure heart or determination. It only reveals who wants to win and advance from the coaches down to the players. This is what makes the post season so great. It starts a new season while puting pressure on coaches and athletes to excel and play at their best. My honest opinion is that the two teams that will advance from this region will both advance to state. The region for 12AA had its top 4 teams advance to regional, while 11AA had a few stumbling blocks. That's why the games are played. (LOSER GOES HOME)
  2. Nancy Baker @ southside high school (Jackson) is an outstanding junior combo guard. Her natural position is the one but she can flat out shoot the rock.
  3. Tami was injured during volleyball season and had surgery on here ankle. The skills and talents she has will only give the team upside. She's such an athlete that she dosen't allow here body to rest from one season to next. I also fill the young coach pressures her to much and dosen't allow here to play here game.
  4. Nancy Baker @ Jackson Southside is a solid combo gaurd that can score, but has to carry the load of running the team. She suffers from a young inexperienced coach and two starters injured the 1st half of the season. She's only a sophomore and is one of the best in AA.
  5. Congratulations to the Jackson (TN) Lady Roadrunners for their 3rd place finish in the National 15u YBOA national tournament. Ashley Hayes of Humbolt was the 15U free throw champion along with making the all-American team. Victoria Harvell of JCM made the All academic team while also helping the team come in 2nd place in the team shooting contest. All the young ladies on this team deserve a pat on the back for a job well done. I can't wait to see all these young ladies on the hard wood this fall.
