Yeah nobody eat before you got the game and eat at the Pork Palace, it is on the visitors side. Great food and great price. I ate there this weekend when I got to go home.
Kim, Deana and Pat and the rest of the crew over there do a great job. Of course I am a homer so I of course I would say that.
On to the game. I think it will be a tough and competitive game. I played in the last game that TP and OS played in the playoffs, we played each other the first game of the regular season and again in the 2nd round of the playoffs. (I actually have the film from the playoff game.)
O'Dell was rested and could have played if needed, from what I know.
Good luck to both teams and hopefully both teams will be healthy, but the Bears win and move on by a TD.

From TSSAA website:
District 3 Class 2A
Rockwood If Rockwood defeats Harriman, they are a 2nd place qualifier, otherwise they may only qualify as a wild card.
Tellico Plains If Harriman defeats Rockwood, they are an automatic qualifier, otherwise they may only qualify as a wild card.
If that is right I don't know.

Bears win.
I will be there to see it.

Who is the QB at TPHS? Atkins? or someone else?
-
Tellico 42 - 12

Coach....
Maybe they can make a deep playoff run....
-
Undoubtly you went to the Pork Palace. Pat, Dena, Kim and everyone over there does a great job.
BTW I gave them a chance, but I always think they have a chance...
-
Was the final 21-6 Tellico? That is what I am hearing....
-
Still at Marshall isn't he?
-
Nice observation. I haven't been to a game or saw any film. It is a littl hard when I am 6 hours away. Does Rockwood do internet broadcasts?
-
Who wins and why?

coach Hunt for mayor.
I think that job is open as well.
Good job Coach Hunt. Good Luck the rest of the year.

I heard TJ quit through the grapevine. Thanks for the update.
Not really homesick, just football sick really. Seems like this time of the year gets to me more than anything. In SC they can start practice Friday with helmets and then they go to shoulder pads next week I think.
Duke44, do I know you??

Interested in seeing what you say about Tellico.
I'm interested in seeing what Tellico fans have to say about Tellico.....ya'll have been very quiet
I am 6 hours away now, I know a lot of the seniors were freshman when I left. I don't know anyone from Tellico on the boards really.

Interested in seeing what you say about Tellico.

Plus phpBB is free where IPBoard was a pay service. Give it time, I think the change will be for the better over the long haul.

SWildcat1967
So who would that be?
Danny Williams.........

Any idea on who won??
-
What is the TP schedule?
Also when is spring ball? and anyone know of any scrimmages?
-
Any update on who is getting the job?
-
They are passing a petition around for schools to send to their state and NFHS for a 3 yr experiment with the main emphasis is there are less injuries in the A-11 brand of football. (I am calling B.S., putting players in that much space creates more likely for injuries due to the ability of players to get to full speed and violent when they get there.)
It is on their site, a-11offense.com.

Boruff would be my pick. Nothing against any of the other guys, just think he is a good fit.

Looking forward to getting back and watching some games (maybe 2 years full time, depends on the job market). Greenback and Tellico were always good matchups. Should make for a natural rivalry. The new regions look more competitive than previous ones for Tellico.
My last day coaching football at Tellico was against Greenback.
Go Bears!

What if they only have 1 team in the division within the region? They automatically qualify for the playoffs? I haven't read, so don't bash me. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
How in the heck did Rockwood get a better seed than Tellico?
in Class 1A & Class 2A
Posted
No, they are the higher seed and are the automatic qualifier, where as TPHS is a Wildcard. Head to head is eliminated, based on the way Tiebreakers are set.
TSSAA rules on tie (Hence Rockwood and TPHS)
In the event that there is a tie in district standings, the following tie-breaking procedures shall be applied and all regular season games, both district and non-district, shall count. If at any point when the following tie-breaking procedures are applied, one team has beaten all the other teams that are tied for a play-off position, that team shall be rated above the others. After any position in the district standings has been determined, the tie-breaker procedure shall begin all over again to determine the next position. This procedure shall be repeated to determine all places in the district.
1. The team with the greatest number of victories.
2. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams winning 50 percent or more of their games.
3. The team whose opponents have earned the most victories.
4. The team whose opponents have received fewer defeats.
5. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams in its own class.
6. Ten yard-line overtime procedure at neutral site Monday night at 7:30 P.M.
