  1. Tears are hard to stop right now. KWC (Kermit Clinton) was a true lover of High School football. We know how much he loved Whitehaven>He was a 1982 graduate of WH. He could debate anybody on Memphis football but always with class. He started The  Big Games IN Memphis" contest that made us very competitive. It is so sad that Whitehaven lost a rising  Senior to death on Thursday and one of its biggest fans on yesterday. We have stood on the track during Mitchell and Whitehaven games and talked until the lights were turned off. RIP KWC

  5. I think what those Mitchell teams so good was our fundamentals and our defense first mentality. We did not run up and down the court and jack up 3's. Remember we won the third one with a new coach that only returned 7 points from the 2015 state tournament. Single A requires more coaching that AA or AAA. Memphis teams would have done well this year in 1A.

Could you see either one dominant the other or do you think it’s going to be a close game?

If Mitchell win it will be close. Fairley has the weapons to run away with it. They can substain long drives and keep our offense off the field.

Kirk Goehring is the Vice President of a bank in Jakson...Not sure which one. Use to work with a team mate of his.

I think Duece Ford is an assistant under his dad at Memphis Fairley...Could be wrong but I think that's what he is doing now.

Duece was the head coach at Fairley.

Brown is at Wooddale this year. That makes them viable, they were already going to be pretty decent but adding him takes Wooddale to a different level in Double A in Memphis. Houston is going to be the team to beat in Triple A!! I love what they have, they are big at every position. Only problem with them, will be their bench and they have a 6'7 freshman on the bench!! East tougher than them though, no where as talented but tougher and Whitehaven guards are better but much smaller and Whitehaven has no bigs at all. Houston should run it but you never know!

I agree Houston and Wooddale should be the favorites. Arlington is young but very , very talented. They have the top freshmen class in the county.

Alvin Miles is not at Wooddale anymore Gaiilee. He went back to Whitehaven for his senior year. Heard he just didn't wanna play for Phillips who is at Vandy now. Could be rumor but I think he should have stayed at Wooddale. Whitehaven won't make it out of the region this year.

That was not smart. Phillips is a hard coach for some kids to play for. He demands 100% effort on and off the court. He is missing out on another ring.

  10. Coach {Phillips is an excellent coach. His attention to detail and game prep is outstanding. If there was no Penny WH would be dominating AAA. But I cant leave out coach Turner. Only been a head coach for 3 years and holding his own. Our talent level this year is not as close as it has been.  After moving up to AA he has us 1 win from being back in the glass house. Like WH you better get us this year.
